My daughter's disney princess tv DVD tray will not open. There is a picture of what looks like a disc in the top right hand corner of the screen with an arrow pointing down out of it. I looked everywhere in the user's guide and could not find a code for this. My worst fear is that she got a disc stuck in there or something, but I can't get a straight answer out of her. Is there anyway that I can manually open the tray without damaging the tv/dvd player?
I have the same issue. sometimes it opens sometimes it doesnt. I use a screw driver and pry it open as i hit the eject button. this worked for a while. But it stopped comming out even with a screw driver. I poped the pink front pannel to the dvd tray off and can access the gears that make the tray come out. you just have to use your fingure to get it started and then you can pull it out. This is not a good way to fix the problem and i will be buying a new stand alone tv and dvd player for her this x-mas. Cheap products = crappy products. It worked fine for about a year or so.

Ok this may need to go to a tech, but with the jamed cd the only thing to do is open the tv up, which why i recomend a tech, it could be as simple as the band has been displaced or snapped.
best thing to do is get it open make sure to unplug it! but i recomend taking it to the repair shop it should just be a quick proccedure

I have the same problem and have only had this tv for 6 mo. The tray will not open!
I just got this tv for my daughter...plugged it in and am trying to set it up for her so she can watch a dvd...but I can't get the dvd player to open at all....am I missing a step or doing something wrong? I've read the manual and done everything I can think of. I hate for her to have to take it back being this was the only one they had left....
