I have not an icon to personolise mij htc desire so i cannot change my ringtone for calling or sms How become i that

To change the ringtone press MENU, and then tap Settings. Tap Personalize > Default ringtone. The Phone ringtone selection menu then opens and you can scroll through the available ringtones and tap the ringtone you want to use then tap OK. Ringtones or songs downloaded or copied to your storage card are not automatically added to the ringtone selection menu. You need to go to the Music application and set a ringtone or song in your storage card as your ringtone. To do that top up arrow and Music then tap the three paralel lines at the bottom-left corner of the screen to go to the Library. Play the song that you want to use as a ringtone and on the Playback screen, press MENU and then tap Set as ringtone.

I want to download an app to download songs and ringtones

Method 1:
Transfer the song(s) you want to set as ringtones onto the microSD card either by connecting to pc via USB or using an SD adapter. Next, Tap on the Music Player, open the music list, press the menu button and select PLAY ALL, this will scan your SD card for music/audio files. Once all your songs have been added to the list, select the song you want to set as ringtone and click MENU key, choose SET AS RINGTONE and that will take you to the RIngtone Trimmer, make the ringtone 30 seconds or less, select Trim and you're done.

Method 2:

Root your HTC Hero, create a directory in your C: drive and name it HeroRIngtones, HTC, or whatever and put there all the ringtones you want to be added (30 seconds or less), then open Command Prompt; make sure your device is connected and already visible. Run the following command "adb push directoryname/myringtone.mp3 /system/media/audio/ringtones" and press enter. Do same procedure for all the audio files you want to set as ringtones.

Method 2 is not available for non-root users.

Is there anyway to get a call tone for my HTC Mogul 6800 phone

You need to pick a tone/mp3 you have on your computer and convert it to a .wav file with any of the free programs you can find via searching on google or softpedia.com.   Once you have it as a wav file you need to move it to your phone (plug in your phone to the computer via usb cable, open my computer and click on the "Mobile Device"....then click the windows folder which should be listed after you click on the Mobile device) and place the file directly into the windows folder.  After you've moved the file to your windows folder on the phone...unplug the phone and go to where you chose you ringer and you'll see the new tone listed.
There might be easier ways but this is the most direct way I found.
