Ink failure hi, I'm Yuda from Indonesia. I' m having ink sysytem failure with my hp photosmart 7280 printer. the display says "ink system has failed. unable to copy, receive faxes or print. refer to printer documentation. error: 0xc05d1281 turn power off then on again" I've try to shuting down and then power on again, but it's not working. could you please tell me how to fix it. thx b4

SOURCE: HP 3310 All In One Error

Try to reset the system by holding down the OK, Cancel, Black, and Color buttons at the same time and turn the 3310 off. Keep holding the buttons down until the printer shuts off and then turns itself back on. You will have to turn the printer off twice and then it will recalibrate. Make sure you have new cartridges in the printer so that it can reset.

I just had this problem with a HP C5150 and I found this bit of conversation on the web and it worked for me.

My error code was 0xc18a0501 and the following steps did resolve my issue, hope it helps you as well.

  • OK I had the hp error code 0xc18a0001 problem and here is the conversation I had with the tech.....

Hello,

Check our web site at: www.ccl-la.com/hp.htm We have a step by step guide to correct this problem. This error is caused by air in the ink feed tubes and the guide will help you do a purge on the lines.

SOURCE: I have a Ink System Failure.

I had this same problem but with a different error code. Try doing:
1. Unplug the power cord from printer.
2. Hold both o.k and Cancel simultaneously.
3. Plug the power cable while holding the buttons.

After I did this my printer reconfigured like it used to do and it was like it was new again.... well new plus a headache a managed to get while reading all these little posts. I hope this helps!

The error message is Oxc18a0001. What is wrong with it. I've turned the printer off like it said to do, with no change.

Solution 1:

1. Press and hold "left arrow" key
2. Press the "setup" key and release both keys
3. Press and release the "OK" button

14. To verify printer functionality print a SELF TEST PAGE. If SELF TEST prints, then printer is ready for use or Software Installation.
15. If the error is still there, or reoccurs the printer is already defective.

Ink system failure, everything was fine, i put new ink in just like i have many times before and now it won't print anything, it keeps telling me ink system failure on the monitor

This error usually means you are at the end of the life on the printhead or the printhead assembly has a defect causing it to stop working. You can try removing all of the cartridges with the machine on. once they have all been removed unplug the power cord from the socket (be sure printer is still on!) wait about 30sec-1min. then plug back in. the display will Read out of ink install and an icon for each missing color. Reinstall all cartridges and close cover. it will take a minute or 2 for it to cycle and prime the ink. The display should read ink Sysytem Failure, power down machine. Press Power button to shut down, leave for another 30sec. and then turn back on. If the error displays again you will have to contact HP for in warranty service or replacement options. Note: if you are out of Warranty it is a good idea to shop for a new printer via Costco, Walmart, or an Office Supply Store, it will save you $$$
(a friend had this issue and they were going to sell her a new printer for $30 more than staples plus shipping!)

I have an error message on my HP Photosmart C5180 All-in-One printer stating: Ink system has failed. Unable to print. Refer to printer documentation. Error: 0xc18a0201

Hi!
Ink System Failed is displayed becuase the printer head can not communicate with the main board of the printer and this can happen due to print head failure there is nothing you can do except repairing the printer.

Photosmart 7360-ink Ink System Failure error

Hi,

1) Press * and # at the same time

2) Press 1, 2, 3 and “support R0632M” should display

3) Press > and “information menu” should display

4) Press > and “configuration menu” should display

5) Press OK and “hardware failure status” should display

6) Press OK “failure status: clear”. Press OK to clear

7) Press CANCEL

8) Press CANCEL

9) Press CANCEL

10) Turn printer off, unplug power cord for 2 minutes, and plug cord back in then turn printer back on.

HP 8250 Photosmart printer that displays "system ink failure"

Try changing the ink cartridges.

If you installed the "HP Support Toolkit" software from the CD-ROM that came with the printer, use this Toolkit to "run a cleaning cycle".
It can print a "test" page, to show you which colours _do_ work, and which do _not_ work.

If all else fails, then find a qualified printer technician.

Can't print on Photosmart 3110 all in one

This is a result in a print head failure or the use of non HP ink ether or there right you need to service the unit part will be needed if the maintance does fail. If your using non HP ink stop its use and purchase HP ink you be glad you did!

Ink System Failure on HP Photosmart c5180

Ink system has failed

IssueAn 0xc18xxxxx or 0xc19xxxxx ink system error code displays on the front panel. The printer cannot copy, receive faxes, or print. 
Solution
Press the On button to turn the printer off. 
Unplug the power cord from the back of the printer.
Remove all the ink cartridges.
Wait two minutes.
Plug the power cord into the back of the printer.
Press the On button to turn the printer on. 
Install the ink cartridges when prompted.
If the error code does not display, the issue is resolved.
If the 0xc18xxxxx or 0xc19xxxxx ink system error code displays on the front panel, service the printer.
