Problem with 2013 Hyundai Elantra - Stereo is powered on but no sound from speakers

Stereo is powered on but no sound from speakers. Everything works fine on the display, even the microphone for hands free calling, but no sound. I don't see the reset button described for the 2011 Elantra. Could they have eliminated that or moved it?

OK, I found a solution myself so I'll share it with you. I disconnected the negative terminal of the battery for a few minutes, which effectively reset everything, even the clock.. It worked though, so if anyone else has the same problem, this should work.

What you need to do is pull the fuse panel off! Secondly turn your car on! Thirdly, pull the fuse out for a minute! Fourthly, put the fuse back and push the power button and it will fix the problem! Don't forget to put the fuse panel back on! You will however have to reset all your radio stations! You can also put a paper clip in the reset hole top left of nav screen. Hope this helps you!

There is a reset button on the to the left of the phone button on top of the navigation LCD

It is above the FM/AM button. If you don't have navigation then I am unsure where it is. If you have the navigation you can hit Setup, then Main, then System Info, Factory Defaults, then choose settings or memory points but your best reset is the tiny gray button next to the phone button above the FM/AM button right below the XM symbol and Bluetooth word and emblem. It's tiny but directly under the XM logo!

I have a 2013 Hyundai Elantra. My stereo intermittently goes out and now I can't lock my car - are these two things related and could it be a fuse?

Very Possible it is your fuse, the only thing that makes me think otherwise is that your problem is intermittent. When a fuse blows, things stop working they do not work intermittently. If you recently installed a stereo, check the harness for crossed connections or exposed wiring that may be causing a short. When you blow the fuse for the stereo it usually takes out many of the interior electronic accessories such as Interior dash lights, electronics door locks, dome lamps, etc. Check the fuse box likely under the dash, if not in a corner of the engine compartment under the hood and find the diagram for the fuse lay out. Check the fuse for the stereo or interior accessories or for the door locks. problem could be with the wiring for either.

The sound in my speaker system suddenly stopped working

Did you check the radio, or stereo system? are the lights on the stereo system still on? If not find the defective fuse.
When you still see lights, still the power amp can be defect or its fuse. Or just a bad contact in the power cable going to the amplifier.
So many things that can go wrong. If you don't look under the hood, you won't find a cause. As a tech it could cost me half an hour to fine what is wrong when I had to investigate it myself.
Almost impossible to pinpoint the exact cause. I only can give hints were to look.
