My carrier weather maker 8000 won't ignited after changing to Lux TX9000TS digital thermostat. The problem was that my wife linked Rc with Rh. Then we switched back to old thermostat, and the furnace could not ignite. On the furnace control board it outputed 4 wires, W-White, G-Green, R-Red and Y-Blue, however on my thmerostat board it had 5 wires, W-White, G-Green, R-Red, Y-Yellow and RH-Blue. My wife changed the old honeywell thermostat with Lux TX9000TS, We called Lux support, they suggested to directly connect W-White and RH-Blue, the furnace hiss, but didn't ignite. We tried W-White, RC-Red, the furnace hiss again without ignition. So I am very confused, I have multi-meter, how can I test which part was wrong? The Transformer or Control Board? How to test. Thanks in advance.

1. check indoor unit wiring.
2 check sensar of thermostate.
3if not change thermostate

First of all when you flip the switch, it goes thru a startup sequence. THEN it turns on the Igniter (notice the red glow). Then the gas turns on.
Now at this point check the idiot light and it should be giving you a code of 34. That 34 (3 shorts 4 longs) says that there was a problem igniting the furnace. After it cycles thru at least 4 times and fails to ignite all the blowers, then is when you get a code 14 (1 short 3 longs)
NOTICE what's happening with ALL the burner Tubes each time it attempts to ignite. If only one or two are running....then this is your problem.
To fix all you do is take out the burner Tubes, look for debris, blow them out (blow from the front where all the jets are), and replace them in sequence from left to right (the tabs overlap).

You can find what the error code is by looking on the inside of the bloewr panel. If it is still there after all these years there is a code list right around the wiring diagram. If my memory serves me correctly it is a limit problem. But be for sure and check the code sheet.

You need to look at the wiring diagram pasted on the door panel to get a starting point where to look. I suspect a bad pressure switch, jump it out and see if it starts.

If you're sure the igniter is good and the controller is sending voltage to gas valve to open, but not to the igniter then, yes, the controller is bad. The only way to know for sure is to remove the igniter's molded plug from the board and test voltage directly at the board. You should get about 100-120 vac to the igniter.
Testimonial: "thanks alot i will test that."
