Curved faint white lines like a rainbow

Sony KP-57WV600 rear projection has multiple faint white arched lines like a rainbow on the top half of the screen and the opposite on the bottom half of the screen. The problem is not evident unless the scene is very dark (black backgrounds).

I am not sure what the problem is without pictures. It is possible the Link Jean provided could help. I would get more info before attempting this fix. If the lines in the picture look like the lines the picture in the site, then I would say there is a good chance that link will fix the problem.

Please keep in mind many things can go wrong with TV sets and you should really do a lot of research before attempting any adjustment and or repair. There are also high voltages present in some areas of the set and can reside even when the set is unplugged.

Hope this helps.

I have blue arched lines and blue screen

HI:
Your problem is the blue CRT or picture has gone bad, you will need to have the picture replaced, there are three tubes in this model rear projection television. Red, Green, and Blue. Replaceing the blue tube is the only option for normal operation to resume. It may be hard to find the tube, but you can try contacting this website for the part www.vdc.com, they manufacture and usually have stocks of sony picture tubes and rebuilt ones as well. The company's name is Video Display Corporation...

Try going into the video section of your menu, and pressing RESET on your remote control. If this doesn't fix it, try your quick start guide for setting the convergence and focus.

Faint red lines in a curved arch like pattern

For this problem, what you have to do is here I found this solution: Right below your speakers on the right and left side are tabs. Pull out the tabs and remove the screw on eachside. Once that is done remove the speaker cover and you will see a fiber board cover in the middle of the tv, there will most likley be twist ties holding some wires, to make it easier to work remove the ties. Now remove the screws on the fiber board and pull it off. You should see 3 adjustments on the top for focus, do not touch those. Below the focus adjustments on the bottom is the blue, red, and green adjustments (they should be labeled). All you have to do is turn adjustment screw slightly to the left(or counter clockwise) and it should clear right up. That should do the trick, Hope this is helpful. Please dont forget your rating.
