Hello, I have a Lifecam 6000-VX that I had installed on a Sony Vaio. Do to a nasty virus I had to reformat my hard drive and reinstall everything. The only problem I have now is getting the webcam to produce video. The sound works great just no picture. I have reinstalled 1.2 software with no luck. I downloaded an installed the newest version and still the same thing. I did install the software first then plug in the cam. I have also tried uninstalling the software, taking out all references in the regesitry, reinstalling the software, then plugging in the cam, same results. When trying to to through the dashboard video settings, the software thinks it is working but all i get is a white screen. The cam light is on. The cam works great on a laptop that I have the some software installed on. Any ideas you can give me would be great. Thank you,

Your cam has to be setup with the messaging programs have you tried that
and does your cam show in device manager

Thank you for responding. I tried it with, Live messanger, Yahoo, and Skype and had the same results with all of them. I installed the software on another computer and my new netbook (very cool by the way) and...same thing. My son has the same cam and when I tried his on all 3 computers without reinstalling anything, it worked great. I am caulking it up as a bummed cam. I am just going to buy a new one (we'll see what Circuit City has this week). Thanks again for the reply,
