the inverter, video board, hdd have nothing to do with the unit not staying powered on. you have reseated ram. have you checked bios to be sure setting are accurate? udates could some times screws things up. im a dedicated technician for usbank and I know this for sure about updates screwing things up in bios configuration. after all is checked out I would go with a mainboard swap. be happy its not an hp because pc goes into secure state after mobo swap and its a pain in the if you have not done this!

I dont think its the hdd. its most likely the cpu. clean the heat sink and see if the fan is still working, you may even want to clean it a apply new thermal paste

if this helps please take time to rate

i have checked the fan works, the thermal paste is something new to me , but will definitely try it, what exactly is the heat sink?

  • Anonymous Feb 01, 2013

if the comp is left for 1-2 hour's then it will run for 20 odd minutes but if it try to restart straight after the hdd has stopped it will run for maybe 10 min and with each try the time of running reduced. so i reckon it something to do with heat!

SOURCE: hard drive

the firm ware in the machine (depending how old it is)might not recognise that size drv or it needs formating, either way you can fix this with Disk Wizard.

SOURCE: Toshiba L350D Screen Loss

you may plug off remote monitor power on to see carefully is there normal dark picture on your lcd screen,
!) lcd dark but there is pcture on the screen, it means the back lights inverter damage(which in the lcd lid and downside of lcd panel), or lamp damage (in the lcd panel), have to replace new parts
2) no any picture and dark panel, you may check lcd signal cable plugs are right seat in the sockets (which located between the back of lcd panel and motherboard), also check the inverter cable same thing (it merges in LCD cable) . it is better replace a new cable (most cases are cable disconnection somewhere)
is this helpful please feedback when you checked, iwill tell you what you can do next, thanks

Hi guys, recently i switched off my laptop-windows 7 premium 32bit,2gb ram,duo core processor-whilst my samsung external harddrive was still connected to it. I rebooted the comp but this time the external...

It's likely your external drive developed a fault. You could try data recovery software yourself. But the quickest and easiest way I can suggest to recovery your files is an online data recovery service like http://FreeDataRecovery.us

They offer both remote data recovery and do-it-yourself data recovery advice.

My TDP-P75 toshiba projector keeps cutting out for no reason - any advice anyone?

Hi, Cutting out after 5 minutes sounds like an overheat fault. On every projector will be a filter that is user serviceable - it will most likely be blocked up with lint. To Clean - locate the filter & remove carefully. gently brush the lint & dust off the surface of itusing a soft brush or vacuum cleaner on its lowest seting. Try not to puncture the filter element. reinstall.

Need a copy of user manual for satellite L350D-02L how to get one here in Canada

I was able to find 2 manuals for the L350D series of laptops. The 02L is simply used to define the options of your specific laptop. The User manual can be found here:
http://c.shld.net/assets/294396_f6e19296-7506-4165-bee9-e2ec29f7eaa6.pdf
The full service manual (used for technical repairs and tear-downs) can be found here: http://tim.id.au/laptops/toshiba/equium%20l350d%20satego%20l350d%20satellite%20l350d%20pro%20l350d.pdf
Hope this gets you going!

I am looking to reformat the hard drive (ie restore to factory settings) of a toshiba equium a60 laptop. However, I have no manufacturer disks so wondering if it is possible?

I've had a look at the the Toshiba website:-

http://www.csd.toshiba.com/cgi-bin/tais/support/jsp/outFrm.jsp?ofId=AskIris&searchString=Toshiba+Equium+7100S+&x=9&y=8

It gives the impression that this is quite an old system. That being the case, re-installing windows requires re-formatting the HDD.

But keep the URL above handy, it may help with drivers you may need after the re-installationt.
