I lost some settings in the volume menu and sub volume
I bought my car with the IDA-x100 installed and subs in the back. Everything was fine until today. this morning everything was alot more quiet than normal, I went in the settings to turn the sub volume up and the loudness on; I turned the subwoofer volume up, but I realized the regular bass volume was gone and so was the loudness. I dont know what happened? It just was all of a sudden this morning.

1) Press and hold Func/Setup for more than 2 seconds2) Using the Volume knob go to the sub function called General3) Then go to INT MUTE4) Then set it to OFF This will sort your problem out hope this helps
press and hold the menu button until it takes you to a sub menu rotate your volume nob to the word CLOCK. press the volume nob this will take you to the clock set area. use the arrow keys to set the min and hour. press the back button to take you out of the menu.
Have you checked to see if the sub amp is turning on. Check to make sure you have at least 12 volts on your power as well as your remote turn on (Blue/White on radio harness). If everything is hooked up correctly, it is possible that the preout is turned off. Some headunits have selectable preouts. If so you should be able to turn the sub on and off in the menu. Hope this helps VOTE
Does the sub work at all? How is it hooked up? The sub needs to be fed by an RCA cable from the Subwoofer Output jack for the receiver to control its output.
The best thing to do is to contact the manufacturers. From this i understood that your speaker system is new. You surely have the manufacturer's guarantee. So its better to contact them than to get it repaired or replaced for free. Sir please do not try to open the sub as it will void the guarantee policy.
Hope your subs come into play as soon as possible....... All the best...
Setting the RX-V861 remote control to operate Zone 2:
Using a ballpoint pen or similar object and press the [CODE SET] button RX-V861 remote control. The[TRANSMIT INDICATOR]on the remote should flash twice.
Using the [NUMERICAL KEY PAD] on the remote and key in 9992, the [TRANSMIT INDICATOR] should flash.
Assigning the receivers internal amp for Zone 2:
Set the remote control selector to [AMP]. (Located to the right of the volume buttons on the Remote.).
Press the [SET MENU]button on the remote control.
Arrow down to Manual Setup and press the Enter button on the remote control.
Arrow to the [SOUND MENU] option and press the [ENTER] button on the remote control.
Arrow to Speaker Set and press the [ENTER] button on the remote control.
Arrow to the EXTRA SP ASSIGN and select ZONE2
Press the [RETURN] button on the remote control to exit out and return to the Manual Setup.
NOTES: There is an option for setting the Maximum Volume and Initial Volume in the Zone Set menu.
Max Volume: This is an optional feature but isrecommended to prevent the accidental change in volume levels thatcould damage the speakers and receiver.
Initial Volume: This is also a great feature that would seamlessly start the volume level for the second or third zone at the desired level.
We do not recommend using any Speaker Selector boxes to enable more than the recommended number of speakers per terminal. Controlling Zone 2 using the RX-V861 remote control:
If the Main Zone on the receiver is on, press the [POWER BUTTON]down and while holding that button down press the [PHONO]/[**] button on the remote. The [TRANSMIT INDICATOR] will light up.
You will not be able to use the following buttons on the remote: (Pressing any other button will cause the remote to exit Zone 2 mode. [POWER], [STANDBY], [VOLUME], [MUTE] and the [INPUT SELECTOR] buttons [DVD], [CD], etc.)
There are the instructions as written straight from yamaha. If you need any further assistance please let me know. Thank you, Lee
you may have a bad switch. if you have a multimeter you can check the switches for resistance. the should read in the mega ohm range. if less than that it is probably bad.
Well, I have the same problem and I would think it has something to do with the RCA-connections. If I power up my head unit while I have my main fuse for the amp's removed and then replace the fuse as the head unit is already playing music (thus putting out a current through the RCA-connections) it works just fine. But if I just power up my stereo with the fuse in, my subs go all crazy. I guess it has something to do with disruptions in the rca cable. Maybe they are drawn too close to some power cables or speaker cables?
Good luck!
Initially, determine if the remote trigger of the amp is present on both instances; radio and iPod. This would be the blue or blue/white wire from head unit and would read +12VDC when the head unit is turned on. Otherwise, if +12 is present during radio mode but absent during iPod, then it might be that the internal switching would need looking into or a short temporary fix would be to wire a separate power on toggle switch for the amp.
Hope this be of initial help/idea. Pls post back how things turned up or should you need additional information.
try to check your speakers. check the pigtail, maybe it is disconnecting from the cone or from the connector. then after that, resolder it.
if still you h ave the problem we will proccede to the next step. let me know...
