Blu-Ray disc does not play.

I loaded "The Incredible Hulk" (new blu-ray disc) and the menu took forever to come up and displayed a (... loading ...) screen during part of that time. Once I got to the menu it displayed normally but when I hit play it went through the disclaimer page and then did nothing. I have tried this many times and even went to scene selection and tried going in a few chapters with no avail. Another thing that is weird is that the Menu (on the HT-BD2, not the TV) displayed "slide show". During some of the many times I tried to get this to play the movie, I was able to go to some of the other menu selection points like SETUP.
Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I downloaded the zip file, burnt onto a cd/rw as image to disk, and it was copied as a *.iso file.

File placed into samsung HT BD2 and it is rejected?

So I thought rather than copy image to disk I will crete a data CD instead, so I burn the image as a data CD get some RUF image loaded on stick it nto the blu ray and guess what it is still rejected.

    HELP PLEASE

You need a software upgrade. If your blu-ray is lan connected you can upgrade from the blu-ray, just follow the menu. If you have no internet connection, use your PC. On the manufacturers web site find your model and download a firmware update to cd, then play this in your blu-ray, follow the on screen menu. Good luck

I had the same issue with my fathers blu ray player.. it wont even update with the lan.. so what i did to resolve this..
i went to the web page found the blu ray player.. Take into mind that theres 2 versions of this player the "HT BD2R and HT BD2" find the one thats urs, download the update file from the page. Take into mind "drag and dropping a file onto a disc through my computer and then burning it will not work!!!" to make a readable data disc you will need a Burning software such as Nero Burner! which can be bought from any major online or highstreet computer store. and then create the data disc using such software.. once this is done turn on the blu ray player insert the disc and let it read.. it will eventually read it and ask would you like to update. and press yes and simply follow onscreen instructions!. and it works!

A new "Tangled" movie disc not play in Blu-Ray

As newer bluray movies come out they are constantly tweeking the format. More then likely you need to update your bluray players firmware or software. There should be an option under the menu for the bluray player to update the unit of course this will require that you have it hooked into the internet via ethernet cable or wifi network.

Will play dvd's fine, but when loading a blu ray disc it stops loading after the "federal warning" regarding piracy. Other blu ray disc finally loaded but took several mins to start playing

You have a Laser Pickup Assembly problem, The blue ray disc require higher precision and velocity to show the higher resolution that is demanded when it plays. One possible solution, and it is a long shot, clean the laser pickup lens with a Q-Tip and rubbing alcohol failing that, only choice replace the assembly or buy another machine.

My ps3 will play ps3 games but not dvds. it loads the dvd then turns black. Any suggestions?

You can follow below steps to play DVDs on PS3.
Step 1: Insert Blu-ray disc into PS3's Blu-ray drive. Playing Blu-ray disc movie works exactly the same way as entering a game, except you need to head into the Video Tab in your PS3's home menu, rather than the Game Tab. Highlight the Blu-Ray and press X to start it immediately.
Step 2: Now the Blu-ray disc will load like a traditional DVD. Use your controller to access the menu, and use the D-Pad to select your option and press X to enter. When the media is playing, you can press triangle to open a mini-menu that will give you access to options such as subtitles, audio channels and volume. You can also access the main menu, using the arrow keys to navigate. Press triangle again to close this menu.

However, if you can't do it successfully, try to convert DVD to regular video and transfer to PS3.
Step 1: Download and install Leawo Blu-ray to PS3 Converter, and then launch it.

Step 2: Get source Blu-ray movies ready. Insert Blu-ray disc to the Blu-ray drive, or get source Blu-ray folders ready for loading and converting.
Step 3: Load Blu-ray sources
Click "Add Blu-ray/DVD" button on the program interface. This Blu-ray to PS3 converter would then guide you to browse source Blu-ray movies for loading.
Note: After loading source Blu-ray movies, you could select subtitles and audio tracks, play source Blu-ray movies, edit Blu-ray movies, snap screenshots, etc.
Step 4: Do output settings

Next to the "Add Blu-ray/DVD" button, click the dropdown box and select "Change". You will then arrive at the Profile setting panel to select output format from "Format" group or "Device" group. Select "MP4? from "Format" or directly choose "PS3? from "Device > Sony".

Optional settings: After you've set the output format, click the same dorp-down box and click "Edit" option and then you could adjust video and audio parameters of selected profile, including: video codec, audio codec, bit rate, aspect ratio, frame rate, channel, etc.
Step 5: Start converting Blu-ray to PS3

Back to the main program interface, click the green "Convert" button. You could then set an output directory on the right popup sidebar. After setting output dirctory, click the below convert button to let this Blu-ray to PS3 Ripper instantly start converting Blu-ray to PS3 videos.
Note: Internet connection is required during the whole conversion.
After you convert Blu-ray to PS3 friendlier videos, you can transfer the videos to PS3 and then start to play Blu-ray on PS3 in a indirect way. For details, you can read the extension part.

New Sharp BD-HP16U won't play Blu Ray Discs

You need to force the player to the the Top Menu of the disc.
The way to do this is: load disc, wait until it says "Reading Completed" (about 1 minute).

Wait for the PLAY icon ">" to show in the upper right corner (this may take up to 30-40 secs).

Once you see the ">" Hit the STOP button on the remote to get to the player's splash screen.

From the Sharp splash screen Hit the "Top Menu/Title List" button on the remote and wait for the circulating dots and then the disc menu appears.
Play the movie from the menu and you should be good to go.

Bd p1400

The latest upgrade is ver 1.9. It is a downloadable ISO in zip file format. Samsung recommends Nero to burn this. Burn this to a CD-R not a DVD. I also suggest burning at a slow speed... IE 10x and trying high quality media IE .... Verbatim. 90% of the problems are related to poor quality media or too high a burn speed. This disk has to be highly accurate for it to work correctly. I've updated over 40 of these particular players.
