First SSID(Service Set IDentifier) is what Identifies your WLAN network. When you add a router, you establish a WLAN. Each item you connect to your router must use the same SSID. You will be asked to make a unique network name, when you set up your router. This will be the SSID of your network. If you go online for you router menu, you should be able to find that information in you configuration menu. NOT to be confused with the IP address of your computer.

Don't understand how to set password. please help

Plug the router into the power socket and configure you own machine to obtain IP address automatically. Load up Internet explorer and type in http:/192168.xxx.xxx which is the local address of your router. You should then get a password screen. Enter default user name and password and it will take you to the configuration screen. The full IP address and user name and password are dependant on which model you have. See list below From there you need to read the instructions very carefully and match it with the information provided by your ISP.

If I could be of further assistance, let me know. If this helps or solves the issue, please rate it and give a testimonial for my response. Happy Holidays!

Thanks, Joe

Can't get login asus wl-520gu page when i type in http 192168

Hi there,

Try using http://192.168.0.1 to get to the log in page of your router. The username should be: admin and password is either: admin or (no password). If this does not work, there is a reset button located on the back of your router, press this button and hold it for about 10 seconds while the unit is on, then try going to that address again.

If this still does not work, look on the bottom of your router or on the box which your router came in or the manual that came with the router. Check that you are trying to go to the correct IP Address. It should be located on the router itself, although, the standard IP Address for most routers is 192.168.0.1

Thank you for using FixYa! Have a nice day and please remember to rate this solution.

Warm regards,
