How do you remove the front panel of the neff R4381X1GB dryer?

Sorry, this isn't a solution! I've been investigating my wife's dryer which is the same model with the same fault exactly, by symptoms. An electrician friend has also taken the back off and suspects that the heater element has burnt out, but I don't see how that links to the fault as originally seen. Did you find an answer by other means or did you have to replace the unit - in which case did you manage to find a suitable model? Ours needss to take the kitchen cabinet door fittings, but I'm told John Lewis aren't doing this model any more.

something is still plugged with lint,if the vent line is long blow it out with a leaf blower to clean it out,you have to clean out the duct that the lint filter slides into,if the filter is on top remove the vent line,remove the back panel,remove the lint filter and the two screws in front of it and remove the four screws and clean out the duct,if the filter is in front take off the bottom panel,remove the filter and clean the duct,also vac out the inside of dryer where the motor is,when the dryer gets to hot the thermal fuse pops as a safety so you still have a block somewhere

I found the instructions!

Disconnect Power. Lift Cover on lint filter. Remove two Phillips screws taking care NOT to allow them to fall into the blower housing. Next, place a putty knife in the space between the upper and lower panel at the front of the dryer about 4 inches in from either side to push up the retaining clips while pulling on the lower panel. This will release the lower panel and give you full access to all the main components and most internal areas needing cleaning.

The only area affected by running with no lint filter is accessed by removing the rear panel. With rear off, the filter housing on the left will have several 5/16" hex head screws to be removed for access to the blower wheel and housing interior. With screws removed go to front and insert putty knife in the seam between the top and front panels about 4 inches in from both sides. Lift top at same time and raise when disengaged.The filter housing can now be moved sufficiently to vacuum the interior from the rear removing any large foreign objects first.

You have now cleaned all the dryer areas that need cleaning. Don't forget the airflow through the vent line of the house.

Reverse the above process to reassemble unit. Good Luck.

To clean filter, remove the lower plastic panel at front of washer.
Unscrew the pump filter cover anti-clockwise to remove and clean.

The filter on this model is in the main hose leading from drum to pump. It can be accessed by removing the panel at back of machine.
