SOURCE: Rice cooker stopped working

Sounds like the Thermal Fuse inside is blown unscrew the 2 screws on bottom of the cooker you should see a small 2.5 inch insulation wrapped wire leaving a ceramic mounting block to one of the element poles. Now you take off the nut and unscrew it from the pole. Cut off the insulation and underneath will be a Thermal Fuse. If you have a Ohm Meter or a continuity tester attach each lead to either side and it probably will test negative. Part # is written on the Thermal Fuse. Probably a

if you still have the reciept the best thing that i would suggest is to take it back to the store or call the manufacturer and they will send you out another under warranty cause there should be a 1 year warranty on the unit.

Lost direction on how to use my rice cooker and havn't used it in a while

To cook rice, fill center basin of base with water. Place the rice bowl on basin. Add rice and water as follows. For white rice add water in a 1:1 ratio to rice plus 1/2 cup. For brown rice add water in a 1:1 ratio to rice plus 3/4 cup. Examples: 1 cup white rice, 1-1/2 cup water; 2 cups brown rice, 2-3/4 cups water. Put lid on and plug in and in about 50 minutes you should have delicious rice.

Need directions on how make rice on my oster rice cooker

There are many types of rice. Follow specific directions for variety used.
2. Accurately measure rice and water then combine in rice bowl.
Pour specified amount of water in water reservoir. Cover and steam.
3. For softer rice, increase by 1 – 2 tablespoons the water mixed with rice
by the specified amount of water on the chart. For firmer rice decrease
water mixed with rice by the same amount.
4. Check doneness and consistency of rice at minimum time specified
for each type, stirring rice at the same time.
5. When checking/stirring rice, be careful not to drip the condensate into the
rice bowl which would reduce the quality and flavor of the steamed rice.
6. Use only clean water in water reservoir
7. Rice may be seasoned with salt, pepper or butter after steaming.

How much water for brown rice, my rice cooker is in Japanese

Typical, 1 cup of brown rice will need 2 and 1/2 cup water. Then depending on type of brown rice and your taste ( chewy or soft..) you can adjust less or more water to go from then.
You are probably hearing Japanese cup is 6OZ and US cup is 8OZ, but it doesn't matter if going by ratio as indicated above.

3 cup ricecooker and steamer

your cooker can only cook about 1 1/2 cups of rice(raw) add 1 cup rice to 1 1/2 ( 1/3 if youlike dryer rice) water , you should have a lever, push down to cook it will pop up when the rice is finished allow about 4 min to let the steaming stop

to steam you need a steamer basket or the fan folding type, it should be about 1/2 inch off the bottom of the cooker add about 1/2 cup water( time will depend on what your steaming)

Lost my instruction book...want instructions to make rice in cooker...ratio of rice and water please

I have a Toastmaster 3 cup rice cooker but think the ratio would be the same.
Long grain white rice - 2 rice measuring cups - water to 2 cup line = 8 (1/2 cup) servings
3 rice measuring cups - water to 3 cup line = 12 (1/2 cup) servings

Long grain brown rice - 1 1/2 Rice measuring cups - water to 3 cup line - 6 (1/2 cup) servings

For fluffy rice: After cooker shuts off, allow rice to stand for approx. 15 minutes, covered, before serving.

Hope this helps
