SOURCE: how to get pedestal off a toshiba 32 HL 67

Take out 5 HEX head screws and one black screw from jack pack cover. the pedestal will slide out from bottom. You do not need to remove jack pack cover as it is part of entire back panel.

troubleshooting PCB's of certain electronic units require advanced technical skills. no service manual of any source would provide specific solutions. the best you can get are schematic diagrams. if your field of expertise is not related to electronics, i suggest you let the technicians handle the problem for you. every shop have their repair cost qoutations. just be sure to ask for warranty of their repair. goodluck!

SOURCE: I have a 42" Toshiba Theatre Wide Plasma tv, model

I'm not sure I completely understand your description of what you see. Do you have any audio and video of channels?
You could start by checking your different settings. Your inputs settings and display settings. You could be in a demo mode or in a calibration mode if you are seeing color bars colors (white, black, cyan, magenta, yellow).

Where can i find a stand

If you're referring to the original pedestal base sold with the TV, your best bet would be Ebay
or Craigslist.

On Ebay, search in the Category: Electronics > A/V Accessories & Cables > Mounts & Brackets >
using the search string "vizio 50 pedestal stand" or "vizio pedestal stand base" and you should get a few matches. For example, this used pedestal stand, which has a current bid of $9.99 USD, or this new pedestal stand, being sold for $149.99 USD or Best Offer.

Can't remove the base/feet - i want to mount on the wall. if there are screws, we can't find them - tried allen wrench, phillips, etc., no luck. thank you

See page 5 of the owner manual:
Removing the Pedestal Stand
1) Carefully lay the front of the unit face down on a flat,
cushioned surface such as a quilt or blanket. Leave the stand
protruding over the edge of the surface.
Note: Extreme care should always be used when removing
the pedestal stand to avoid damage to the LCD panel.
2) Remove the jack pack cover on the back of the TV to expose
the pedestal stand screws. The jack pack cover can be removed
without tools.
3) Remove the five screws shown in the diagram below. This will
allow removal of the pedestal stand.
4) Once you have removed all five screws holding the pedestal
stand in place, remove the pedestal stand from the TV by
sliding the pedestal stand away from the TV.
