I am having difficulties to assemble back the recline button into the seat leg. as I cannot allign the button with t he seat leg, to have ramp part of the button fit the gap in the leg. I have tried all the possible ways, and it is becoming very frustratng now as the strollers are not usable due to this issue. Could you please send me the solution to this issue, I would be more than grateful!

SOURCE: Seat recline buttons stuck

Hi,

I would suggest that you return this for a repair to your retailer, if this is in warranty (2 years).
If not, you can dismember the white (retangle) buttons quite easily to enable the release of the seat frame,. On each button there is a small clip either side that you have to push in together. Inside each button is a spring, just make sure that you keep the spring for when you have put it back together. It does sound like the spring has just become dislodged.

I hope this helps.

To fix it yourself, you need to disassemble the buttons, which can be done with two screwdrivers one a thin slot type the other a phillips. Here's the process: 1. Behind the white button is a screw. Remove it using a phillips screwdriver. 2. You'll now have a black housing with a white button held in by three white tabs. 3. Free the white button from the housing by pressing inwards on each of the three tabs with the slot type screwdriver. 4. You'll now have a black base, a spring and a white button. 5. Sand the circumference of the white button evenly until it slips easily in and out of the black surround. A little silicon spray is a good idea. 6.Reassemble and repeat for the other side. If the buttons are broken you can buy them as parts www.babycare.nl/bugaboo-cameleon-seat-frame-push-buttons-p-2664.html

SOURCE: Hello Am having great difficulty reassembling

With the seat unit face down push down inside the lower leg unit with a screw driver, The white button should pop out. If it does not either the button is stuck or the locking splines on the outer sides of the button unit are not sliding freely into the spines of the outer ring. When you push down with the screwdriver your force only pushes the back of the button unit. It is the inner spring that has to move the white button and the locking splines so any burrs or roughness can stop its movement. www1.fixya.com/support/r7805137-fix_bugaboo_white_seat_buttons

SOURCE: I can't get the recline button to pop out. So buggy seat won't stay in seated position it just keeps falling back into recline

I had this problem just day ago, and googled away to find a fix. I came across this site http://www.maybenow.com/the-2-white-discs-on-our-bugaboo-cameleon-get-stuck-q24012917. It really helped, I took it apart and used a file(my nail file to be honest) and filed the sides of the white button so it would easily slip in with no problem and put it back together. Make sure you keep all part on the right side. I mixed them up as I took them both out at the same time. They are not interchangeable, start with one side and put back together then move on to the next.

Lincoln MKX passenger seat stuck in reclining position

Hi. Thanks for your question. Check all the fuses first and then look under the seat to see if something has stuck in the track assembly. You might find that the wire connectors have disconnected from the seat switch somehow. However, you can also visit https://www.reliable-store.com and download the entire workshop manual for better understanding. It has all the information along with the diagrams which are really helpful. Good day!

4. You'll now have a black base, a spring and a white button. Pay attention to how the two black parts align to each other so you re-assemble it correctly.

5. Pop the white button out of the upper black surround. Sand the circumference of the white button evenly until it slips easily in and out of the black surround. A little silicon spray is a good idea.macnutz_27.jpg
6. Reassemble unit and check it has full movement (see photo below). macnutz_30.jpg
7.
On the underside of the button unit a ramp shape should lineup with an opening in the bottom edge.macnutz_33.jpg
8. Fit button unit back into upper seat leg, Fit lower seat leg aligning it to the back of the button unit so the push rod in the lower seat leg pushes on to the ramp on the button unit. Note the seat button will not come out and lock until the seat is fitted back on to the chassis pushing the rod up to push the button out to the lock position. Once you have fitted the back screw in you can use a large screw driver to push down the inside of the lower leg to check the white button pops out and locks. If you have any resistance dismantle again to check alignment and the condition of the interlocking teeth of the button and the outer rings. Sand of any burrs and use a little silicon grease. Reassemble and test again.
Repeat operation to the other side if necessary. Buttons are not interchangeable so doing one side at a time avoids mixing them up.
If the tabs on the white button are broken you can buy a new button unit as a part www.babycare.nl/bugaboo-cameleon-seat-frame-push-buttons-p-2664.html

Hi, my bugaboo is now 16 months old and recently the round white buttons on the side that lock the seat into three different positions got stuck instide, so the seat is not locked in any position, which...

My daughter has just brought me a Bugaboo which is 25 months old (one month out of warranty) and after several hours work I have figured out the problem.
The reason that this seems to occur after a year or so is, I believe, related to the fact that the housing in which the white button sits is made of thermoplastic and is not dimensionally stable. For the button to work properly both the circular hole in which the button sits and the button itself must be circular and the button must be very slightly smaller in diameter than the housing. If either of these are slightly distorted the button will stick.
The other thing to know is that when the cradle is off the chassis the button will always be in the 'in' position. What pushes it out is the pressure of the part of the chassis on which the cradle sits when you push the cradle onto the frame (you can demonstrate this by getting a screwdriver or thin dowel) and pusing down on the plate within the socket on the cradle that sits on the chassis - when you do this the button will pop out and when you take the pressure off it will pop in again).
If when the cradle is attached to the chassis the button is not out, give it a few quick sharp presses on one side to make sure it isn't binding on the plastic within it sits.
This should releases it.
The cure? You need to dissamble the button assembly and spray some silicone lubrication or similar and make sure the various parts are working smoothly. Also you need to check to see if the white button is binding on its black housing. If it is, then carefully use some wet and dry paper or similar abrasive on the circumference of the button until it stops binding
Having figured out how this works I have to say that I consider the mechanism to be a very poor one considering the price that is charged for Bugaboos. If they took a little more care and made sure the button and housing wouldn't distort with age and bind, the problem wouldn't exist.
Hope this helps. .
