SOURCE: Seat recline buttons stuck
Hi,
I would suggest that you return this for a repair to your retailer, if this is in warranty (2 years).
If not, you can dismember the white (retangle) buttons quite easily to enable the release of the seat frame,. On each button there is a small clip either side that you have to push in together. Inside each button is a spring, just make sure that you keep the spring for when you have put it back together. It does sound like the spring has just become dislodged.
I hope this helps.

To fix it yourself, you need to disassemble the buttons, which can be done with two screwdrivers one a thin slot type the other a phillips. Here's the process: 1. Behind the white button is a screw. Remove it using a phillips screwdriver. 2. You'll now have a black housing with a white button held in by three white tabs. 3. Free the white button from the housing by pressing inwards on each of the three tabs with the slot type screwdriver. 4. You'll now have a black base, a spring and a white button. 5. Sand the circumference of the white button evenly until it slips easily in and out of the black surround. A little silicon spray is a good idea. 6.Reassemble and repeat for the other side. If the buttons are broken you can buy them as parts www.babycare.nl/bugaboo-cameleon-seat-frame-push-buttons-p-2664.html

With the seat unit face down push down inside the lower leg unit with a screw driver, The white button should pop out. If it does not either the button is stuck or the locking splines on the outer sides of the button unit are not sliding freely into the spines of the outer ring. When you push down with the screwdriver your force only pushes the back of the button unit. It is the inner spring that has to move the white button and the locking splines so any burrs or roughness can stop its movement. www1.fixya.com/support/r7805137-fix_bugaboo_white_seat_buttons
I had this problem just day ago, and googled away to find a fix. I came across this site http://www.maybenow.com/the-2-white-discs-on-our-bugaboo-cameleon-get-stuck-q24012917. It really helped, I took it apart and used a file(my nail file to be honest) and filed the sides of the white button so it would easily slip in with no problem and put it back together. Make sure you keep all part on the right side. I mixed them up as I took them both out at the same time. They are not interchangeable, start with one side and put back together then move on to the next.
There are three types of recliners you can look for: recliners with legs, European recliners and
compact recliners. I have found you a
site with a few of these options to browse through. I hope something will fit your space.
