How about this, if you look what paper tray are avaible from the display pannel, is there a matching size paper tray or is the tray you are trying to use another size then lets say LTR. Is it a different size, if so you may have paper jamed behind the paper tray causing a different paper size, if so remove the jamed paper..... Also, the other suggestion are good as well.

Solution for error code 005-196

This is essentially a paper size mismatch which causes a paper jam. Technically you submitted a print job for a paper size that did not match the paper which was fed into the printer. Example, your document is legal size but the printer pulled a letter-size paper. As it passes through internal sensors along the paper feed path, the paper size doesn't match the document size (created on the PC) and so the printer stops with the paper in its path posting the error and causing you to have to remove the paper from the jam area. The resolution is either provide the correct size paper based on the document settings in the PC application (may need to be fed in the printer's manual paper tray) or change the document size within the PC application to match the size of the paper being fed into the printer. (Paper size can also be modified in the printer settings on the PC.)

H2 error when printing from pdf to A3 in multipurpose tray

H2 error code means that the paper size you are feeding into the machine does not match the paper size programmed into the machine. Minolta's are picky about these 2 size matching. So if you trying to print onto A3 then when you select the multipurpose tray it must read as A3.
Here is the info from the factory service manual:
H2 The length of the paper set does not
match that of the paper actually taken
up and fed in.
• Load paper of the correct size again
according to the set paper size.
• Turn OFF and ON the Power Switch.
• For copier tray: Slide out and in the
paper tray in which the size error has
occurred.
• For Manual Bypass Tray: Place paper
in the Manual Bypass Tray.
• For Multiple Bypass Tray: Unload
paper from the Multiple Bypass Tray,
then reload it back again.

Red alarm keep coming to my (Canon imageCLASS MF5770 Multifunction Printer) and display message: CHECK PAPER SIZE AND CHANGE PAPER SIZE CASSETTEL LTR. please guid me through steps. thanks!!

Chances are the paper size in the cassette doesn't match the paper size (or alignment) that you've tried to print. Verify the paper and alignment of the paper match what you're trying to print, and that the paper guides in the cassette are locked into position for the size and alignment you're working with.

My Brother MFC-9420CN printer is telling me to check the paper size. How do I do this?

Check to make sure the document your sending matches the paper size you have in your paper tray. The reason its telling you to check the paper is because your document size and paper loaded aren't matching

Machine telling me wrong paper size i have reset and reloaded but not working

Check the guides in the paper tray to make sure they match up to the proper position for your paper size. If for instance the paper tray is set to A1 by accident and you are using letter paper, then you request to print on letter sized paper the printer will think it doesn't have letter paper available and will ask for some. The position of the guides in the paper tray are what tells the printer what size paper is in that tray. Otherwise your paper settings in the paper meny are wrong as this can override the paper tray settings, check them to make sure they match the paper size in the trays also.
