Canon MV800i tape would not eject.

The dreaded canon cassette curse! "Remove the cassette". The tape would neither play nor record. I kept getting the message to remove the cassette. After opening and closing the cassette cover about 50 times the cassette was still stuck and then things got worse. The fuse blew. Shaking the camera with the cassette compartment open then produced a small spring. Any suggestions?

The Canon MV800i fell off the tripod onto ashalt and the identical problem exists. Took a while to get the tape to eject, but now will not load a cassete, it makes the whirring noise but spits the tape back out. If no tape is inserted, the mechanism will close aok.

I am having the same problem with a Canon MV800i ejecting tape straight after loading it in the camera. It will not except any tapes new or used. I have had this camera for three years.

Bars across picture when replaying tapes.

The tapes were recorded in LP mode and the replay is set to SP mode. Switch from "EASY" to "P" and replay and you should be OK

MX2, it displays the following: "remove the cassette" or eject. I thought it was a condensation problem but all attempts failed, please help me.

On Canon camcorders, "remove the tape" error is due to no data reading by video head. You may have clogged heads or somewhere along the area. Initially, I would try to insert good clean "video head cleaning tape" and run for about 7 seconds and see if that resolve the symptom. If it persists, it need a help from a technician. Good Luck. My ZR30mc video recorder will not eject cassette

Take the side panel off to see whether the tape is damaged and will not retreat into the cassette ( this will prevent ejection ). Remove old damaged cassette and insert new one. If the unit chews the new cassette camera should go in for VTR service.
