Need to disable the date stamp on my General Electric A1050

Use the Date Imprint option in the Still menu. Your choices are "Off", "Date", and "Date and time". Select the first.
Full details are in the "Date Imprint" section of the manual (page 58 in my copy).

Hello,

See page 144 of the users manual.

Tap- (MENU) -> Wrench(Setup Menu) -> Date Imprint.

There should be three options from there. Off, Date, & Date and Time. You want to select the "Off".

Good luck.

How do you change date imprint to on

Select Setup, then select "Date Imprint". It's in the "Date Imprint" subsection of "The Setup Menu" section of the manual (pages 95 and 91 in my copy).

I want to set my time date setting so it will be recorded on my pictures. Thank you [email protected]

You will probably find that this not possible. The date and time are recorded in the EXIF information with each photograph all the time but not actually in the picture at all.

How can I turn on the date stamp on my Canon G10?

From the manual:

This camera does not allow you to insert the shooting date into an image while shooting (date stamping). However you can use the following method to imprint the date while printing.

  • Set with the camera's Digital Print Order Format (DPOF) function. Set [Date] option to [On] in [Print Settings] in the Print menu.
  • Connect the camera to a printer and imprint the date. See the Direct Print User Guide.
  • Insert a memory card into the printer and imprint the date. See your printer user guide.
  • Use the supplied software. See the Software Starter Guide.

You can download the manual and guides and more from the manufacturer's web site at

I accidentally set the date imprint on my camera. I'm wondering if there is a way to get the date taken off of the front of the pictures I have already taken.

From the manual, "Imprinted dates form a permanent part of image data and cannot be deleted."

The best you can do it to make sure that Date Imprint is turned off for future pictures. The camera still records date/time info into each picture file, and many printing programs can imprint that onto the picture at printing time. The good ones print it on the back, so as not to interfere with the image. Either way, you can always add the date to the picture, but you can't remove it once it's there.

How do I turn off the date option?

Go to the Capture Menu. In the Capture menu, you can determine the conditions you would like to choose such as Size, Quality, Scene, EV, White Balance, ISO, Color, Saturation, Sharpness and Date Imprint. Press the MENU button and then scroll through the options. Choose "Date Imprint" option and then change it to OFF so that the Date will not be showed on the captured image. If you want the manual just download it from this site "http://www.retrevo.com/support/Vivitar-5100-Digital-Cameras-manual/id/200bh832/t/2/". Hope it helps.

How do i remove the date , time, 101nikon 1939 jpg on top of the

This will always be displayed in your camera. However to choose what will imprint on the pix :

Turn your dial to SETUP and select DATE IMPRINT. Then select OFF (nothing will imprint on pix), or DATE (for just the date to be imprinted), or DATE and TIME (for both time and date to be imprinted)

Macro mode and date imprint

In Macro mode, you have to hold the shutter release down halfway and hold it until the focusing system has time to work, then take picture.

Date/Time stamp on image only works in Postcard mode.
