Question about Kodak ESP 3 Multifunction Printer/ Copier/ Scanner
After 3 Prints Paper gets Jams and then I get Paper Not Aligned Message. And i need help on how to repair it.
I had the printer jam issue when there wasnt a real printer jam.
if you push the print cartidges off to the right, then reach in and push down on the cleaning head that is located on the left on the inside, it pops back down into place and voila, printer jam error message fixed.

Right here we go. As already said above somewhere, slide the ink cartridges to the right, with a torch look into the left hand side where they had been sat. If you can see a pad there which when pushed it springs up and down ( and you get a black inky finger) push a plastic lug type lever at the back of this pad towards the back of the printer and the pad will slide backwards to reveal two squeegee rubbers stuck up. that is now the cleaning head unjammed. shut the top press ok and away you go, Simples.

I've been online with Kodak support for one hour over this exact problem. They have no clue. Open/close paper tray, remove print cartridges etc. I was spending about $600 a year with Kodak on ink, but am now moving away. I am also recommending my team of 15 do the same: all who spend about the same amount on ink per year that I do. I was impressed with the printer....I have owned it for about 6 months, but there is a serious flaw here that Kodak is refusing to admit or help out on. I'm no longer a Kodak customer and recommend others to follow suit!!

I tried pressing down the cleaning head and it did not help, but in the process I discovered that the print cartridge had popped up in it's holder such that it interefered with the body of the printer as it tried to move from right to left. I pressed the cartridge down into its holder, unplugged the printer and started it over and it fixed itself.

I just checked to see if there was a jam. There wasn't. So I turned off the printer and took out the paper. I turned it back on and it asked for paper, so I put it back in and PRESTO! It started to print again.

Slide the print head cleaner towards the back of the printer, it gets stuck in the forward position. When stuck the print heads may not return to the left side of the printer. You can simply reach in on the left side and push the pad - print head cleaner towards the back of the printer. It should move a little ways, then close all lids and turn printer back on. If the heads are on the left opening the lid should cause them to move towards the center, then unplug the power and follow the steps above.

No solution, I have had printer replaced by Kodak three times over the last year, I bought a years supply of ink on sale (mistake) so I have to wait until I run out of ink to buy another brand of printer
DO NOT BUY KODAK PRINTERS****************

Mine was stuck in the far left position and I unplugged mine and stuck a butter knife in over the ink cartridges and pressed down hard, maybe even turned it a little to put more pressure on the tops of the cartridges,it worked just fine after I turned it back on.

Look for a loose or missing screw that holds down the right side of the front ink cartridge guide. If the cartridge cradle sences any resistance it will show up as a paper jam. The missing screw on my ESP 7 was the problem with mine. I had to drill a hole in the case to get a screw driver to the screw when I put it back in. The screw had fallen to the back of the printer and I found it when I removed the rear paper guide access unit.
