Windows not booting

press delete at startup
go2 BIOS option
1ST BOOT DEVICE CD/DRIVE
2ND BOOT DEVICE CD/DRIVE
F10 SAVE
RESTART PRESS F12

"insert boot disk and press any key". This message comes when harddrive is not recognized in bios or windows system files damaged. For that first open cpu cabinet and reconnect both connection to harddrive.Reconnect RAM memory. Then when you power up the computer press F1 or F2 or del ALT+F2 key to enter in bios then make sure hardddrive is recognize in bios. Uninstall the driver and then reinstall. make sure the drive is not connected until the driver is installed.

It sounds like you are booting into DOS. Dos is an old system which does not recognize NTFS partitions, only FAT/FAT32.
What you need to do is use Hiren's Boot CD (download off google).
Use it to boot and use the NTFS4Dos utility first. Then start Dos:
Or once you boot into Dos mode with the CD, type:

A:\>NTFS4DOS
.............it will list harddrive partition letters.........
A:\>C:

The above may look different as A:\> can be any drive the cd assigns. C: is also an example as you will see your drive letter in the list of harddrive partitions detected.

Do the following to make your PC Fast

Do 1

1. Turn on your computer, and hold down delete.
2. In the BIOS window, look for the Boot Menu option.
3. Choose the QUICK BOOT to turn off memory test
.4. Make sure the hard drive comes first in the BOOT ORDER.
5. Turn off any logo displays.
6. Restart

Do 2

1. Open your Start menu.
2. Click Run
3. In the command screen type msconfig
4. In the system configuration utility,click either BOOT tab.
5.In the boot menu, change the default setting for Time Out from 30 to 5 seconds.

Do 3

1. Click the Start button.
2. In the Start Search bar, type control userpasswords2
3. Load the User Accounts window
4. Uncheck User must enter user name passwords...
5. Click Apply

Do 4

1.Click Start button and load the Control Panel
2. Under the Control Panel menu, click Programs.
3. Under the Windows Defender heading choose View currently running programs
4. Choose Startup Programs from the Category option
5. Remove Programs that you feel unnecessary for startup

How to disable this indexing service
1. Click on Start
2. Click Run
3. Type services.msc
4. Select Indexing Service and Double click on it.
Select Manual under Startup Type.
5. Click Stop
6. Click OK

Most probably the cause is one of the following:

• No OS installed.
• Hard-drive connection is loose.
• Windows is corrupt.
• Harddrive jumper is not figured correctly (in case of IDE PATA) or it may have malfunctioned.
  

Disconnect the PC from the mains supply, remove the cover on the system and check for any loose cable connections of hard drive.
Check inside the BIOS whether the drive is listed and as the first boot device in Boot Order tab.

Note: During inspection take care to avoid touching any board component unnecessarily. Also avoid using force.

If you just installed windows then take the cd out and let the computer reboot on its own. Windows will ask you to replace the OS disk later.

So just restart the computer with nothing in the CD drive.

Also make sure in BIOS that the Hard drive is the first boot device. Don't need the CD drive as first anymore.

See if that helps.

Goto bios menu. And change the setting on hard drive and cdrom. It could be it still set in the old configuration. Try to set it in auto detect. Then save the setting. Then goto bios once again to check if the settings doesn't change. Restart again and wait if something you didn't expect still happens.

If your using IDE hard drives i would try to put them both on the same cable on the primary IDE controller. Then set you main hard drives jumpers and the second hard drive to cable select not slave. Try to boot if the boot fails your goiong to need a Windows 98 boot floppy with FDISK. You need to start up the 98 boot disk with out CD support then when it reaches a command prompt start fdisk. ONce fdisk is up format and partition the second drive. Now it should work. :) Check that the harddrive is detected in the BIOS, it may have become disconnected, it should also be the master drive on the primary IDE. If the drive is not detected in BIOS there is little chance of it working

I would start by clearing the CMOS with the reset jumper pin on your mainboard. Then remove all the PCI cards excluding the video card; disconnect the hard drive as well. Boot the computer without the RAM and see if you still get the "F post code." If not download a copy of Ubuntu Linux and burn it to a CD.

Ubuntu 8.10 Live CD

Reinstall the RAM modules and boot to Ubuntu from the CD and run "System Memory Scan" from the Ubuntu Boot Menu. I'm guessing your RAM over-heated and is permantly damaged.
Only the manufacturer knows what the error codes for your board represent; it'd email them from this support link...
