True freezer T-35F. outside the door around the seal is too hot. it took a long time for new food to freeze or not frozen at all. fan seems to be running.

You have check if the fan underneath is running? Or maybe it is starting to go bad and only runs sometimes and sometimes it does not?

I would check all seals and make sure there are no air leaks. From what you describe there may be several areas that allow warm air to enter and cold air to escape. If the humidity goes up in your location and the door is open a lot it can cause havoc with consistency.

pull the plug and let it defrost. ck the drain for water. it maybe pluged. after 2 to 4 hrs. plug it back in and set the temp. to -10 degrees f . fill small dish or bowl with water and see how long it take to freez. if it takes longer then 4 hrs you may need freon or have a compreesor problem, or defrost timer .

My true freezer temperature gage has a P1 flashing code

If unit keeps proper temp. then I would think that either the thermometer sensing probe may have been damaged during the repair process or the thermometer itself has failed.

What could cause an evaporator coil to freeze up on a true t-19f. Also what is the suction pressure on this model.

Hello
Could be low on freon,i belive this model uses 134A.

So the suction pressure should be 31 to 35 psig, for a temp of 36 to 40.f

Also check the defrost timer and the door seal. The eveap should have a drain line on it, make sure this is working and not plugged.

Normal Operating pressure for true 2 door Freezer R404A Room Under 80 degrees F Box at -10 degrees F

The pressures depend, somewhat, on the expansion device,i.e. a TXV or Cap Tube. Take a pressure reading, then convert it to a temperature. The evap temp should be right at 10 colder than the box temp. Remember, heat flows to cold so the evap has to "Lead the Load" in order to cool. In many cases, the condensing pressure is usually ambient temp, plus 30, then convert to a pressure. These are general accepted practices that have been used for many years.

Hope this helps

I have an older commercial upright Hobart freezer. The freezer seems to operate fine, cycling but always returning the compartment to zero degrees, until all of a sudden the temperature went up, well...

In most cases, an evap that freezes up is either an air flow problem or no defrost cycle. Older Hobarts have mechanical defrost time clocks. It could be locked up i.e., not running so no defrost cycle.
It could be coming out of defrost too early because the sensor that monitors the evap temp is not working properly.
The door could not be closing. If left cracked open, it will freeze up every time as unit never hits temp., keeps unit running. Warm air is seeping in and the moisture freezes on evap.
Lastly, the defrost heater(s) may not be working. Burned out, shorted, broken wire, etc.

Good luck and hope this helps.

True freezer gdm 35f to cold

you just have to change the temperature control. I recommend using a white rodgers part no. 1609-105 set the cut out to about 33 cut in at 38 or 39 you might have to set defrost time to less minutes about 5 or 6 if coils dosent frezze with the setting i gave you. the bulb of the temperature control can be placed on the border dof the difusser.

True commercial freezer

The ice could be preventing the freezer from freezing properly, try defrosting the unit. if this does not help then this could indicate a more serious problem like a bad temp sensor or refrigerant leak.
