E machines e620 video works but not camera.

You may need a driver for the touch pad ,go into device manager and check on if you have one that is working properly ,then update it cant hurt ,let me know if it worked .

Normally this issue happens after installing the a system related software or an upgrading/ reinstalling a operating system. Please read the below steps very carefully and follow the procedure below to resolve the issue.

It's either the card or the camera- do you have any other cards and do they work in the camera?- if the do you might try using a card reader hooked to your computer and try a program like Image rescue or Photorecovery. All camera memory cards are just that- much like the memory in a computer and vulnerable to physical and electrostatic damage

Please check your memory card storage also check your phone memory. This may happen because your memory is full

There is probably software that came with your camera that you can install for automatic reading --if so you need to visit their webpage to see if a driver update is available before you use it.

Otherwise you can do it manually by hooking up your camera or reader and opening My Computer -- look for an added drive, that will be your photos. Open it and you can save to your hard drive.

In order to get rid of the error, you have uninstall the driver, update your operating system with updates from Microsoft (see below for instructions) and follow these suggestions:

1. Best method, copy the photos to the computer by connecting a card reader to the computer and plug the SD card into the card reader and transfer using your favorite software (like Picasa) or through My Computer.
   
2. Drivers are not required for the A400 and Windows XP. So you can plug in the camera, without drivers and it should work. This appears to be the one that's not working, You need to un-install the drivers and either reinstall, try updated drivers from the links below, or don't use the drivers.

About the error "driver update failed" rea

I personally have stopped altogether trying to get the drivers and software installed because they can cause more problems. I just transfer using a card reader.

If you want to use the software that comes with the A400, it's best to install ZoomBrowser, then you will need to follow to this link to get the update to this software.

Once this is done, reboot your machine to make sure the system is then up-to-date.

Make sure you have also updated your machine with Windows Updates. This is done by opening Internet Explorer and clicking on Tools | Windows Updates. Follow the links at their site to update your machine.
