Sony KDF-55WF655 Won't Pwr up

3 blinks is indicating that the lamp door cover isnt making contact so the lamp door cover is either attached wrong or the switch is defective.

Hi,
If lamp has not been replaced in tv in last 2-3 years, then replace the lamp as symptom shows that lamp has reached to end of its working life span and causing that problem.
Lamp is not dead or broke but weak so you get above said problem in tv.

Hi I have a Sony KDF-55WF655 and I just installed a new lamp, now when I got to turn on the tv my power light flashes 5 green followed by 6 red flashes and continues to flash a series of 6 red flashes and has no pic, Any help would be great

5 times Red LED blinks means Lamp Driver Error. (KDF-55WF655)
2 possible reasons, either Lamp is gone or Ballast Supply got bad.
Replace lamp first, in most cases it solved the problem.
How old is this TV and did you replaced lamp recently?

Replace the lamp . p/n XL-2200

There is a real good chance that the lamp fan is not turning. If you look with a flashlight in the vent on the left side looking at the rear of the set and have someone turn on the unit, see if it spins. if it doesnt, the protect circuit in the tv will not let the set turn on. Replacing the fan will cure the proplem if it is not turning.

I had recently had a problem with the Video block or Light Engine as some call it. The TV had blue blotches and streaks in the lower right side of the screen. I sent the light Engine in to TSM INC. in Evansville, IN and they rebuilt it for $300.00. I just got it back yesterday and when I reassembled it I forgot to plug in a connector thus the failure code of 4 red light flashes. I took it back apart and discovered my mistake, corrected it, reassembled it and the TV works perfectly. If you need any help with this process, let me know.

This is the lamp going bad. For some reason, it doesn't spit out that lamp error, it just keeps refiring the lamp and it just cycles forever. When the lamp totally fails, you will get the lamp led lit. Replace the lamp to resolve.

This may be the main power supply, or the lamp supply. This is providing that the new lamp is okay.

The service tech will swap out the modules to service the set.

same problem... tv turns on and off repeadly while the green light flashes. seems as if the tv keeps restarting. please help.
