That switch is no longer made and there is no substitution for it. It was probably integrally bonded to the cord when the saw was made. If the switch is ok, I would consider splicing a new cord onto the old one close to the handle. Use a soldering iron and heat shrink tubing on the connections and use shrink tubing on the outer jacket also.
It is hard to say at this distance what is wrong. If it is oldish, the motor brushes may be worn down. It could be that a wire has come loose from a terminal in it, or a contact has broken in the on/off switch assembly. All those things have happened to me at one time or another.
That tool was discontinued in 1980 and parts are obsolete. You may be able to use a Skil 77 worm drive switch as many of the circular saw switches were configured the same. The switches are usually marked with a 1 and 2 on the back so make sure the wires are put on correctly as some will have the 1 on one side (top and bottom terminals) while others are on the top or bottom (next to each other).
Go to www.ereplacementparts.com and search for your saw in the Search by Model Number box. Use 7308, I think the 07 is the type. Select your tool and you'll get a good breakdown and be able to select any parts you need.
you can get the parts explosion from dewaltservicenet.com, but I will save you some time the armature and most parts for this saw are obsolete no replacement. I checked with another site I use and they don't show that part either. Sounds like time to replace it.
