We have a samsung lcd model number le32n73bd, bought in Jan 2007. The picture flicks on and off for no reason. Your thoughts appreciated

A common cause is a defect in the backplane lamp, the backplane power supply, or the main power supply. A tech would have to troubleshoot the unit to determine where the failure is. You may not find it cost effective to service it.

Cant see my screen on my humminbird fish finder any more

The most common failures:
It may be the power inverter board, and or the backplane lamps, or the screen, or the screen driver board.

The unit will have to go back for factory service. They will use board substitution to service it. Once the defective board(s) are determined, they will leave the new board(s) in the unit.

LG 37 LCD

The backplane lamps, and or the backplane power supply is probably starting to fail. This is common in LCD sets.

In some models, the backplane parts are replaceable. In other's the complete display has to be changed.

Call the factory service rep in your area to arrange to send them the set for an estimate to service it.

Thrutech 20' tv/dvd

A common problems is the backplane lamps and or the backplane power supply. Sometimes the main supply or one of the processor boards can have a fault condition where there is no picture.

You can verify if only the backplane lamps are not working by shining a flashlight in to the screen at an off angle, and look carefully to see if there is any image on the plane of the screen.

Dell W2600

The video drive board may have failed, or the output section of the power supply that drives the video drive board may have failed.

It is also possible and is common on LCD sets, that the backplane lamp supply, and or the backplane lamps have failed.

Turn on the LCD TV set, and shine a flashlight in to the screen at an offset angle. If you can see a bit of the image, you know that everything is working, and it is a backplane illumination problem.

The display driver board may be at fault, or the screen backplane electronics may have a failure. The service tech will try the boards as suspected to service this type of fault.

If the backplane of the display is defective the service cost will not be acceptable.

The following pertains to most LCD sets:
This could be a partial power supply failure, a drive board failure, or more commonly the backplane lamps and or their ballast supply have failed.

If you contact DELL, they will tell you about how to get your set serviced.
