Jensen uv8 and amp hook up

It is probably going bad or there is a short.Just simply use a keyed on wire ( radio power is fine) for your sub amp turn on . In otherwords use a power sourde that only comes on when vehicle ignition is turned on. If you use one hot all the time your going to kill your battery, Good Luck !

it could be a case while you or someone installing the unit could or might have blown out the speaker output of the unit

try taking the unit out connect the red(acc wire) yellow(constant wire) together connect the black(ground wire)

get a test speaker and see if u get sounds

Blue white is remote to amp.... Grey and black are your RCA out to amp...

You have the wrong wire hooked up to turn on your amplifire. You used the blue wire but need to use the Blue/White wire!! That is an amp turn on wire Thje blue one is for a power antenna and goes dead when you put in a disc. The tweeters play because they are hooked direct to your Jensen. You'll be jamming in no time.

no the code should work . unless jensen put a stop to the code in the newer modles.

They have it installed that way because they have signed a purchase agreement stating they will not bypass. If they do, they can lose the line.

Do this and you will never have to mess with the E Brake or any toggle ever again...:

1: Go into AM/FM mode
2: Hit "setup" on the remote control
3: Enter 543210 on the remote, listening for the beep for each number entered
4: A new menu will appear. Touch the button that has the hammer/screwdriver on it in the upper left-hand part of the screen.
5: Select Brake bypass to "ON" and hit the "X" near the bottom of the screen.
6: Use the unit wisely and above all safely. A ticket is one thing, causing a fatal accident due to negligence is another.

you have a factory amp in your vehicle so what you need to do is take out the uv8 and make sure the remote wire from the unit " blue and whit stripe " is connected to the remote wire of the car harness.

the way you have it now is the power antenna wire " solid blue " the is connected to the remote wire of the unit

to fix your problem cut the wire in half connect it to a ground and hot and there ya go it fixed my problem

try hooking up your rem wire I.E. blue/white wire to blue wire (not to power antenna) then check ground and power wire. never hook up power wire while car is on...you will blow amp
