Tried Fn+ F5 and that didn't work
Hey,
On your desktop, right click, select properties.
now go to settings.
do you see screen number 2? select screen number 2 and check that the screen is enabled if not place a check on the checkbox and enable the monitor, now check the resolution and colors adjust them as you see fit, to move objects to the projector display drag them out from your laptop monitor.
Let me know if you need anything else.
Thanks,
Ekse
I think I have the same computer. It has Intel graphics so it is harder to find information. Here's what I do.
1. Right click on desktop
2. You should see two graphics options. Clock on either of them.
3a. Graphics Options > Output To > Choose Monitor, Clone, or Extended Desktop.
3b. Graphics Properties... gives you a menu driven procedure to do the same thing.
If these don't work, open the Control Panel and click on Intel GMA

I have an Acer TravelMate 4720 that won't connect to a projector either. The laptop doesn't recognize that the projector and the projector says that 'no connection'.
I cannot get my computer screen to show up on my projector screen. Everything is connected correctly, I was able to get screen two up when I followed your directions above, but I want the same screen I am veiwing on my laptop to show up on the projector screen, how do I do that?
My Acer Aspire One 150 A won't connect to the projector properly either - doesn't show me the desktop.
I tried the listed solution to no result - just the desktop wallpaper shows, no icons, nor nothing.
I read I shoud "go to advanced display properties and set the output to clone instead of extend desktop", but how do I do that?
