Cannot get back to Automatic mode on video

I have somehow changed the settings on my Canon G7 video mode so  it 's in color accent. I don't want it like this. How do I get back to the default setting of Automatic. The booklet says that using Reset All will not work on Color Accent.

I have the same problem, but mine is stuck on compact mode and the quality is terrible. Did you ever figure out how to get back to automatic mode?

With camera dial on video, rotate the scroll wheel located around the direction button until Standard is selected. DO NOT push function set first like the manual says.

Shutter working very slow in AV or P mode, will only work in Auto Was trying out my new lense today when this happened a EOS 75-300 Canon Lense Worked for a short while, when i put my other lens on it...

If the camera works fine in fully automatic mode, but onot in AV or P, it is likely your settings. Trying increasing your ISO (larger number) and increasing your aperture (smaller number). If you don't have sufficient light or a fast enough lens, the shutter be force to operate more slowly. If the camera also has issue in automatic mode, then I would try the following:

Turn off the camera and remove the lens (in a clean, dust-free environment) and lightly clean the contacts on the lens and camera body with isopropyl alcohol. Once your sure the contacts and surrounding surfaces are clean and dry, re-attach the lens. Power on and try...

5ch/7ch stereo in 5 channel mode

Front panel button engaged for 5 or 7 channel operation? Also check front panel rear surround speakers button is engaged. Should get you back to 7.1 unless you have changed the rear surround speaker setup for a 2nd zone, also be sure you have a 7.1 DSP setting enabled.

Sounds like you (inadvertently?) had the Color Accent Mode turned on (an icon which shows an eyedropper with an A next to it), which is available on the same menu where you select Manual Mode.

When you press the Func/Set button, with the icon in the top left corner highlighted, along the bottom you will see the options available, including the Color Accent Mode, any of which are selectable by using the left/right arrows and pressing the Func/Set button again.

We just solved this problem! Rotate the wheel button (above the Display & Menu buttons) to see the various option (Color Accent, Color Swap, Compact, etc.) and stop when you get to Standard.
