Ice machine making cloudy ice

The cloudy look maybe very small air bubbles. To check this, draw a glass of "cloudy" water and let it stand for a while if after that the cloudy ness is gone then it was tiny air bubbles and harmless, if not then you got a bigger problem.

Flush water through the filter, & adjust the depth setting for the ice on the harvest tray.

taste the water coming out of the filter ? should come from a cold water line, not the hot water line, funky smells and tastes come from your hot water heater. and I don't want to hear the hot water freezes faster bs. hot water heaters are full of stuff you don't want in your body. So if the water tastes ok....
sounds like you need to give the entire fridge a defrosting, clean it up real good. also have baking soda ready for monthly treatments, just crack a box open and stick it int the fridge or freezer.
These ice machines never did make quality ice as they just freeze still water, witch make cloudy, less than savory ice.
If you are a big ICE lover like me. a under the cabinet flowing ice machine is the best ice, as it last the longest(almost clear) and has no ill flavor.

Sounds like a filter or line is clogged.

this is easy to fix first you need some food grade hose next put this hose in the bottom of your ice bin then run you water through this hose to the machine fit as much hose as you can in the bin floor and start the machine at night and the other thing you may wish to do is get a remote condenser

It may just need a cleaning. Use approved cleaner for this modle and sanitize the bin after the cleaning. If it is making some ice, most likely there is not an issue with the charge.

what you are seeing in the ice is the impurities in you water. you wont see them until the water freezes because you are trying to freeze the "H2O" and not the calcium and magnesium. those are what causes your ice to look cloudy.
filtering the water does help but you cant get perfectly clear ice with this type of an ice maker.
when you see "store bought" ice and it is clear, that is because it is made a different way to prevent the impurities from forming in the ice.
also the longer the ice is in your freezer, the more it will absorb from the air causing even more cloudiness.

Remove the ice bin and throw out the ice. Run water through the ice bin to clear out the frozen ice in the bottom. Dry the bin really well. Re-install the bin and start over.
