I have currently taken the water out 3 times now and cleaned ( as per service mans intructions) and cleaned!!!! but it still comes up with (i have too many suds and also the error code 37, pump blocked) can any one help me here please? is the pump stuffed? is it the computer board? please help????????
I had the same problem. The machine was not draining. I drained the water tipped the machine on its face and exposed the pump. As you face the bottom of the pump there is a plastic lever on the left hand side of the pump. Depress the lever and turn the pump assembly counter clocwise to remove. In my machine I found a piece of a toothpick and a bit of cellophane. Enough to stop the pump impellor. Aside from draining the water it took me an hour to figure this out. Next time it will be 5 minutes!
Good Luck
We had same problem. Error Code 37 (drain / pump). We followed the instructions re. turn off, restart ... but the issue remained. The tub would not drain when it came to the drain cycle. Gave up and decided on a service call at the end of the weekend.
Woke up the next morning and the tub had "mostly" drained. Weird. Did a bit of reading on these fixit sites and decided the housing and hoses were simple enough to get to.
Bailed out the tub best we could, disconnected main water hoses, drain hose and electric cord and tipped over outside (even with the bailing a lot of water still in there). The pump and hoses are easy to get at once it is tipped on its side.
Removed the hoses WITH CLIPS...i.e. the ones that can be / should be removed to see if there is a block. Nothing. Then removed the "Y" valve below the pump that (electronically) opens and closes depending if it is draining the tub or recycling water back up into the tub. That's where our problem was. Right in the middle next to the valve was something stuck between the wall and the valve preventing the valve from closing from the recycle hose to the drain hose. Got tweezers and removed a piece of seashell. Put it back together and it works just like new.
The pump and fittings are pretty easy to figure out if you go slow and think. The pump itself is as simple as lifting a white plastic clip and twisting the whole pump off to get a look at the impeller and housing. Good luck!
Error code 37 - we were all ready to check the pump using mzlacey's advice when we turned the washer over discovered a plastic bag had gotten stuck underneath. Removed the bag and the washer is now working perfectly! Thanks for advice.
Try first to clean the filter. Good luck !
Does the water pump out ? If you have a blocked pump then NO water will flow out of the drain hose - Here is how to test the PUMP. Turn Washer on at the wall. When the front panel lights all go out, hold down WASH TEMP DOWN button while pressing POWER. Release both. Then pour a bucket of water into the bowl. Now press REGULAR button. The pump should start and pump out the water if OK. Turn POWER off and then ON to resume normal operation.

My machine is only 13 weeks old and I have the same problem. The company told me that if I had a service man come and they found something in the pump then it was our fault; if it is found to be manufactures problem then warranty would cover. I can't even find where a how to on the pump or its location on the machine to look and see if something is blocking it? I've turned off several times and turned on to no avail, I have also emptied the water out and looked around to see nothing blocking? My model is the IWL16
code 37.
have fisher paykel gwl15 less than 2 yrs. old. Operates properly until it gets to rinse cycle. Starts cycle and then after a few moments it will start beeping. Can press button until it goes to spin and after several attempts at his washer will drain and start spinning. Removed hose on pump last night and 2 coins fell out but still not working
