SOURCE: Canon SD 850 says lens error,

There could be a number of reasons for the lens error. ie. . sand in camera, impact damage etc. Typically the lens can be dissasembled and repaired by a competent camera repair technician. If you are certain that you did not damage the camera in any way I would send it back to canon for a warranty repair. If you however think you could have damaged it you are probably looking at around $100 to repair the camera. Hope this helps!

The lens needs to be dissasembled and repaired or even replaced. A good camera repair tech can do this for around $100.

SOURCE: Canon SD 870IS - lens error

Lens errors are fairly common. Usually it's sand or grit interfering with the lens extension mechanism. Or the camera's been dropped with the lens extended. Or the camera has been powered on, but the lens had been blocked preventing its extension. Or the battery ran down with the lens extended ...

Here's some things that you can do to try to correct it. They only seem to work for less than 50% of the lens errors, but if the camera is out of warranty, they're worth a try:

Here are some troubleshooting steps that you can try that may (or may not) correct it. They only seem to work for less than 40% of the lens errors, but if the camera is out of warranty (or repair cost approaches that of the camera), they're worth that try. Some of the later steps do involve some risk to the camera, so carefully weigh your options before deciding to conduct them.

I was taking photos when suddenly my Canon PowerShot SD 1300 IS IXUS 105 read "Lens error. Will shut down automatically. Restart camera." Then the screen went blank. The lens will not retract....

There is something wrong with your lens barrel. It can be anything from some sand/dirt that got inside in which you try using some canned air to blow out the particles while continually turning it on and off. Usually what it is from is the camera being dropped, even if it is in a case or inside a bad. The jostle or direct impact of the fall will break some small gears or tweak the lens off of alignment. If it was from an impact then you lens barrel needs to be replaced and in that case the repair cost are usually as much as getting a new camera. You can send it into Canon and get it repair for a flat rate. Sorry about your camera.

My camera canon power shot sd 1300 is dont work it say error reset automaticalli

You could be having a power problem, or lens issue. The following blogs discuss things you can try to get the camera working:

and:

If nothing helps, contact a local camera shop to get an estimate for repair, or contact Canon support:

Good luck, and hope this helps.
