I can remove the bios password for my HP Mini 110

Hi all!!!

I just reset the bios password of my HP Mini 110, i tried to remove the cmos battery but it didnt worked it just reset the clock and the system date.

I search over a week in youtube / google and founf this link

I unlock my netbook using the hash code generated after 3 wrong password attempts.

I think this may be interesting for everybody......

You won't be able to do it yourself. You'll have to contact an authorized HP support center.

There used to be "easy" ways but now the password is stored on a chip on the motherboard.

Short the CMOS battery of the system and in that case it will remove the bios password and then you can set a new bios password afterwards.

If the bios don't have password just press F2 when booting, if have password need to open the machine and remove the CMOS battery (the battery is like a coin) for about 10 sec.
