How to delete notepad logs

Something is running on your computer and writing to those log files. You could try booting into safe mode (F8 on startup) and see if you can delete them. There are other things you can do to delete them but they will take a lot more time to explain and do. If they are that important to delete please reply and I'll get you the info you need.

How to remove one operating system in dual boot?

-right click on my computer, select properties
-move to the advanced tab
-under 'startup and recovery' select settings
-in the new dialog box you have a couple of options:
-if you wish to leave DOS on the machine, but not see the option screen you can simply set the 'time to display list of operating systems:' to 0 as winXP should now be ur default OS
-if the removal of dos is your goal, then click edit
-first save a copy of the notepad file which opens 'boot.ini' just incase you make a mistake
-now there will be a lines similar to:

[boot loader]
timeout=30
default=multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS
[operating systems]
multi(0)disk(0)rdisk(0)partition(1)\WINDOWS="Microsoft Windows XP Professional" /fastdetect /NoExecute=OptIn

*There will also be a line for dos here under [operating systems] something like 'multi(1)disk(0)partition(#).....'
-check that your default line points to XP, as it does above
-now erase the line with the other OS, in this case DOS 7.1 ie. 'multi(1)' NOTE *the entire line may be more than one line in notepad*
-save the file
-then you are free to erase the folder associated with the erased OS NOTE *if a mistake was made, you may wish to do this as the last step*
-reboot your system and its done.

-upon any mistakes load into either DOS or XP, etc which ever is easiest (or still remaining on your system)
-copy the old boot.ini over the modified one, and try again
-good luck

Problem on 3 operating sys after reformatting

This is a common annoyance some people has encounter after reinstalling Windows.
The problem is that everytime you turn your computer ON, or restart it, you have a list of Windows you can boot from....even though you "know" there is only one.
First of all look into the BOOT.INI file, and make sure you kmow the version that is currently active.
You can safely delete the other two.
Next time you reboot, your computer should start as usual.

PS
To bring up the BOOT.INI
Go to Run, and type CMD, press Enter
at the end of the string type: cd"space".. (two dots)
Keep doing this until you get to C:/
now type BOOT.INI

A notepad document will open, and you'll see all the options you see at boot up.
Just delete the ones you know you don;t need, and save that notepad document.

Restart your pc, and that is all..!!

Click the EDIT button and the boot configuration window will open in NotePad.

Highlight the partition you would like removed and press delete. Be very sure

Problem withe acer extensa 5620z lap top

You can edit the boot.ini
OR
go to control panel, double click on "system"
it will open system window. go to "Advance" tabs and
under startup and recovery there is a button "setting" click on that button.
it open startup and recovery windows.
if you click on edit, it will open notepad to edit boot.ini, if you arenot sure don't edit, just select the operating system that is working and change the time to 0 seconds. once you boot it will go to your windows directly without any option to choose which windows.
