Im just looking up my SO's Rolex we/ve had this thing around for 5 years. yah why did they engrave the backs of the watches if rolex never does that - its so obvious..like are fakes worth anything
Hi,
There has been a Daytona with similar to this on the back that was presented in 1992 ..but....... If your watch has AD DAYTONA on the back it is certainly a fake and sadly worthless.
Don't be too quick to judge. Just because Rolex didn't engrave it doesn't mean that it wasn't engraved by someone else. Many watches are bought and then have some sort of personalization added by someone else.

Hate to tell you this.. but it's a replica.
Daytona's nor to 99.9% of Rolex watches do not have engraving on the back of any type.. just a few rare exceptions and the Daytona is not one of them.
A realy Daytona in good shape would be worth many thousands of dollars.. enjoy the replica.. there are some nice fakes out there and as long as you don't misrepresent it as a real one in some type of transaction for services or money.. no harm done
Good luck
SOURCE: Hi, I have a Daytona
Howdy..
Not sure what your question is.. but I assume you wish to know if you have the real thing or not.
The watch you describe is a reproduction and not the genuine article.
I am sure there are other indicators.. however the Daytona and 99.9999% of all Rolex watches do not have engraving on the back cover.
Best of luck
