Sir my new parched FS-1020 kyocera printer error c 3100 issue & scanning lamp not on
This code means machine's scanner home possition error. Try to check scanner home possition sensor if fixed in its possition. if not try to check scanner lamp unit movement .

• The home position is not correct when the power is turned on or copying the document placed on the contact glass.
Poor contact of the connector terminals.
Defective scanner home position switch.
Defective engine PCB.
Defective scanner motor.
This copier may need a service adjustment. The problem could be something as simple as a switch not being in home position. Please troubleshoot accordingly. Unplug device when troubleshooting.You should also troubleshoot it by looking to see if anything is blocking or stuck causing the carriage to not go into position.

copying using the table.

Check the connection of connector YC4 on
the scanner PWB and the connector on the
scanner home position switch, and the continuity
across the connector terminals. Repair
or replace if necessary.

Replace the scanner PWB and check for
correct operation.

The mirror frame,
exposure lamp, or
scanner wire is
defective.
Check if the mirror flames and exposure
lamp are on the rail. And check the scanner

Try to reset the printer scanner if there is no light to the scanner lamp the check any lid sensors and or cables otherwise it would be a new scanner as to service a lamp on a scanner would cost more than a scanner
