Battery Recharging Hi......... I have had the above camera for a half-year and have used it diligently on two trips. When attempting to recharge using the port that comes with it, instead of docking with a steady red light...it was flashing red. After leaving the battery docked for a whole night, the port is still blinking, the battery isn't charged, and I can't turn my camera on when inserting the battery back in the camera. Do I need a new battery? Or, is there something wrong with my charging port? I used it two weeks ago and it worked like a charm! Thanks!

I had the same problem. I brought it to Radio Shack and the guy said it was not a problem and I just had to leave it in the charger for a day. I did, and before I knew it, my camera was back to normal. Try this method, but if it does not work call Tech Support.

If the charger and new Battey does not fix the blinking probem with the packaged charge /batter fro the 770. Be sure Casio will here from me as 6 months of limited use should not cause the meltdown of the manufactued - enclosed/included product companion specifically the Lith-IN batt and charger. Shame on you Casio. Casio and In house Law associates-You'll here from me if China/eBay can't fix my issue after-being forced to buy the after-market packaged charger and battery that was initially included with the casio exillim 770 purchased n Feb 2007- problems began Oct 2007. Thus I must take this chance to purchase an after maret item (on eBay) in hopes it can perform as well as your original inclusion of battery and charger with purchase of the Cssio Exillim 770. Please advise your thoughts and possible corrections to this issue as I am clearly not the only consumer with this unfortunate grievance. PS Wuld Love to use this camera on my NYC trip Oct 10-13. Okay, the same thing happened to me. I ordered a new battery and that was not the problem since the same blinking light was haunting me! So I bought a wall charger for the battery alone and then it worked again on the original docking station. Apparently it will not recognize a completely dead battery on the docking station. It makes no sense but it worked for me. So good luck to you!

Call Casio Tech Support and tell them what's going on. They will tell you that you can send in your battery, charger and camera and Casio will send you a new battery after you send yours in. They will also tell you where to send your stuff. The only bad thing is that you will have to pay the shipping to get your stuff to Casio.

I have an Orange light that blinks after I take a photo and it doesn't allow me to take another one

The blinking light is the flash recharging message. You could try turning off the flash (if the lighting conditions are appropriate for this). In fact if the lighting conditions allow, the camera should default to taking a picture without the flash during the recharging cycle.

The recharge time will be longer if the batteries are low. If the battery is older, it will not hold a charge as well as it did when new and will act like a low battery. Try recharging the battery. If the battery is more than a year old, get a replacement NP-45 battery. If you believe the battery is fully charged, you might need a new charger, BC-45A.

The manual for the J10 is available here: http://www.fujifilm.com/support/digital_cameras/manuals/pdf/index/j/finepix_j10_j12_manual_01.pdf .

I hope this helps.

My sony digital cam wont turn on or remain on. please help me. tell me what i should do

  1. Ensure you are using fresh or fully charged batteries. IMPORTANT: Batteries discharge more quickly when used in cold weather conditions.
  2. Attempt to turn on the camera.
  3. If the issue is not resolved, try replacing or recharging the batteries if available.
  4. Attempt to turn on the camera in Playback/Edit mode by moving the mode switch to the Playback/Edit mode or by pressing the playback button.
  5. Switch the unit to camera mode and attempt to turn on the camera.
  6. If the issue is not resolved, try connecting the AC power adapter to the camera and a working electrical outlet. NOTE: Skip this step if the camera being used does not support the use of an A/C adaptor.
  7. Attempt to turn on the camera.
  8. Remove the Battery, press the power button for 30 seconds.
  9. Please wait for one minute, insert the Battery and turn it on.
The troubleshooting steps listed above should resolve your issue. If you have completed all of the steps and the issue is not resolved, service may be required. [[]]

C-PEN dead battery

If the charger is connected to C-Pen and the recharging
process does not start, follow these instructions.
1. Disconnect the charger from your C-Pen.
2. Insert something thin (like an unfolded paperclip) into
the reset hole and press gently.
3. Reconnect the charger to C-Pen.
4. C-Pen should begin recharging the battery within 10
seconds. If recharging does not start (the battery power
level icon is not moving in the status field) please
repeat steps 1-3 above. Remember to make sure that
the charger is not connected to C-Pen while pressing
the reset button.
There is no way to access the battery since it is built in. To replace it you would have to open it up, if you would like to attempt this the battery type is Rechargeable, NiMH.

I insert a new battery and go to a party. I switched on the camera and after some time the camera asks to change the battery and turned off. Change the battery and the same thing happens. The camera worked...

If you've recharged this battery many times over the past two years, it may be at the end of its useful life. Always run the battery down before recharging to extend its life. Also, don't ever let it completely discharge by leaving it for a long time...it will die.

Battery not recharging

Hi

You can't charge your battery while it is in the camera; the USB cable that connects to your computer is for transferring pictures not charging the battery.
