SOURCE: overheating
That sounds very much like overheating...but if the fan is still running after the power off, it may be the projection light that needs replacing. I'm familiar with this because of scholl projectors!:) They can be a pain---especially replacing the light! Good luck!
And since the fan is still running, I would cross that off my list as the problem!:)
SOURCE: No Surround Sound in Aux 2 mode
genarally tv output contain two signals.(steereo).it dosent have surrund output.thats y its not hearing surround sound from your system.
SOURCE: no sound from surround sound whilst tv on
YOU HAVE TO TURN VOLUME OFF ONTV AND PUT YOUR SURROUND SOUND ON AUX THATS HOW MINE WORKS
SOURCE: Unit is smoking and producing burning plastic smell.
Here's how I fixed mine:
I modded an old fan to have the same connector as the dead fan, and slapped that in. That ended up being loud and having a large buzz, in addition to not pushing much air. So, I cut a 120mm circular hole in the top of the case, removed the shroud over all the capacitors, put the case back on, mounted a slimline fan and made a nice little chimney setup. not pretty, but that means i don't have to buy a new receiver.
Short of that:
1. take it to a repair shop.
2. Buy a new receiver.
SOURCE: SYSTEM SHUTTING OFF
I had the same problem and of course my system is out of warranty. If you open the system up most likely you will see portions of a board near the fan burned up.
