I have a two year old MSI all in one computer and it is starting to randomly shut itself down several times a day. Do you know what is causing this? I was thinking it my be overheating, but it shouldn't be.
When the CPU overheats then it will shut down (i.e. thermal overload) and won't boot up again until it has cooled down. If this is the problem is not fixed then the CPU will eventually fail.
A faulty fan causes the problem or the fan and heat sink assembly are clogged with dust.
Check the CPU fan to see if it spins freely, if not replace the fan.
If the fan and heat sink is clogged with dust the remove the dust and make sure the vents are clear and dust free. Use a small brush and can of compressed air to do this.

What you need to is Down Grade to windows xp 64 bit. This is what the system was really designed for trust me i bought mine back in april. and after 2 months of dealing with best buys idiots who know nothing other then commission on what they sell and some pakistani guy telling you that you voided something and it worked when they sold it to you. i Delved heavily into the mod scene to see what i could to do with my 1,300$ paper weight. After much searching and forum scouring i got all the drivers i needed to get back to xp 64 bit. right now my system only consumes 342 mbs of ram. i have the graphics card overclocked to 1084mhz using 177.66 forceware drivers from nvidia. i have absolutely no issues playing any games be it halo 2. crysis. age of conan. and my personal favorites the half lifes. i eat through games like its butter and online play no lag whatsoever on good servers. only issues for me is i am a 3d artist and have a couple of speed issues with renders inside of maya 2008 64 bit and zbrush. small stuff like plane clipping and overlay of desktop showing through when fully maximized. believe it or not thats it. i dont give a **** what people tell you about the sagers and the alienwares. My p6860fx scores around 12356 on 3dmarks06 but that program is just a reference for the uber dorks who hook up like car radiators to theyre computers trying to get a number that means nothing. its all about your jaggies thats it. the reason your laptop runs hot is because Vista is retarded and doesnt know how to manage anything even its self. if you look at your processes most of them are vista pinging microsoft trying to fix it self and it takes priority from you the user since microsoft is trying to get more feedback for sp2. ok hope this helps someone

Toshiba's are notorious dust collectors, try blowing back through the air vents and some clever use of the vacuum cleaner on the intakes can bring it back to life. also check the RAM for dust and dirt on the pins and clean as required. USE ANTI-STATIC Precautions!

Sounds like a faulty wireless card or the card is installed with the wrong version driver. The wireless card itself sounds to be bad and needs replacing
