This shelf system has a 5 cd changer and it sounds like the motor is not working at all when i push the buttons to open/close the door or to skip from one cd to the next. The door doesn't open and there are no sounds being made. I have opened up the stereo casing and I still cannot determine the problem. Any ideas?

I tilted the player to the right side (viewed from the front) to better see the speaker terminals and heard a clunk. When I sat the player back up I was able to open the drawer. I found two of the CD’s had fallen out of the proper holder on top of another CD (three CD’s in one space. After I put the CD’s back where they belonged the unit worked fine.
I assume one of the CD’s didn’t seat properly after playing and caused the mechanism to jam.
Hope this helps your problem.

Mine was doing the same thing so I unplugged it and took the left side panel off to see what was wrong with it. I did this by removing the 2 screws on the left and the 3 on the back left side also. There was a cd stuck in it. It took some fenangling but I got it out and it works fine now. I know, I know. We as lay people are not supposed to do these things but it was out of warranty and would have cost me as much to have it repaired as to buy a new one. Good luck!
