VIDEO MODE when in video mode, in water less than 30 ft, the videos were distorted

First of all, how old is your display? Second, how did that happen in the first place? Finally, was your display recalled because of inherent video artifacts like the one you're describing? You should check with your OEM before making any queries on sites like this.

Normal mode frames the 4:3 video to the 16:9 picture area by displaying it in its original aspect ratio, with vertical gray or black bars on both sides of the screen. Full mode Full mode horizontally stretches the 4:3 video evenly across the entire width of the screen. This is the proper mode to display anamorphic video. Contrast this with anamorphic video displayed without processing on a 4:3 display, in which people on the screen will appear taller than normal. This is also known as the 16:9 mode.
Zoom mode Zoom mode evenly stretches the picture both horizontally and vertically, until the picture fills the entire width of the screen. This crops out the top and bottom of the picture. This mode is used for letterboxed and open matte video.
14:9 mode Main article: 14:9
In 14:9 mode, the picture is magnified more than in Normal mode, but less than in Zoom mode, while retaining the original aspect ratio.
Wide Zoom mode Wide Zoom mode, also called Just mode, Horizon, or Smart Stretch, progressively stretches the picture horizontally, less in the middle and more on the edges. This allows normal aspect ratio video to be displayed across the entire width of the screen, with minimal cropping, and with much less of the unpleasing visual stretching effect of Full mode.

You could isolate the problem if it is a monitor / video card problem by removing the cable (VGA/DVI) and see if the self test feature will have a distorted display

If Yes - Monitor Problem
If No - Video Card Problem or Software problem

If no, try to go to safe mode by tapping "F8" once you turn the computer on.
1. Select Safe mode (Check for video distortion)
2. Select Enable VGA Mode (Check for video distortion)

If one of the 2 is distorted the video card has a problem

If one of them doesn't show any distorted video it means its a driver/software problem.

Get new monitor or... reduce the settings of the video card to a setting that the monitor can handle. Boot to Safe mode (tape F8 key every 2 seconds when booting up) which will get you into safe mode which is the lowest setting of the video card. If you have no video in safe mode you have other issues. Once you have video in safe mode slowly incress the video settings. If it goes blank just wait (no keystrokes or mouse movement) for 30-50 seconds and it will revert to the last good video settings automaticaly.

The reason that its black and white is that your graphics card is outputting the wrong video standard if your US you must put it in NTSC mode if its Australian or European you need to put it in PAL mode etc.. What country are you in? Also to change the video standard you often need to install the latest video driver for your card. What brand video card is it?

maybe you should convert the format of your video, so that you can get the sound of your video.
