I"ve been trying to restore my IPOD for the past two months, I follow the restore mode but it says that it is resetting to factory mode. Right when it finishes restoring the same damn screen comes up again stating ' ipod has detected an ipod in recovery mode. You must restore this IPOD before it can be used with ITUNES.... Im about to break it.. If anyone has the answer to my problems I will be sooooooo greatful. Thank You All.................

Then follow these steps as well
If you are having difficulty putting the iPod model into disk mode, set it on a flat surface. Make sure that the finger pressing the Select button is not touching the Click Wheel. Also make sure that you are pressing the Play/Pause button toward the outside of the Click Wheel and not near the center.
If you are still unable to put your iPod with a Click Wheel into Disk Mode, use one finger from one hand to press the Select button, and one finger from the other hand to press the Play/Pause button.

I know exactly what you are saying. My Ipod has been doing the exact same thing for months. I hope someone knows the cure to this problem!
i have the same problem. i try everything but nothing helps i hate it. what can i do to get it to work again? HELP ME PLEASE!!!!!
my ipod is doing the same i can see the crack under the screen its sort of pixelated with lines running down the screen and the top left corner is blank it still plays music but its still a proglem!
