Battery charger si showing charged but the scooter does not work, will nnot move
We had the same problem that I found to have a very simple fix. It seems all that needed to be done was hold in the reset button a few seconds while the battery charger was plugged in and the light on the charger turned to red and the battery charged again. Seems like too easy of a fix but it worked for my kids scooter.
How did you fix the transistor? Can you send me the schematics. dgarbaty at hot mail dot com.
Hi
I have a E100 thats not well.
The relay clicks when charging and Throttle is triggered.
The Brake circuit is tested.
When the Battery was charged to about 21 volts I tested the voltage to the motor and was ranging from 0.5 - 0.1 volts (this occurs when the scooter switch is on attempted kick start then check voltage when Throttle triggered)
I then wired the battery direct to the motor and nothing happened.
Any ideas whats wrong or what else I need to test?
thanks
is plugged in switched on and the bike is switched on. The Battery reads 27 volts. When I disconnect the The Batteries
Then it may not be the charger it may be the battery so have the battery checked. good luck1
I determined the E-500 razor to be a POS after the second one died. I found the EZip 500 to be substantially better in every respect. Well built, much more solid and lasted a long time. Buy through WalMart so you can get the extended warranty. The charger isn\'t charging the battery. They\'ve sent a replacement charger but it doesn\'t seem to have fixed the problem. I\'ll contact them tomorrow after putting in a new battery and trying again; but they\'re aware of the issue and will stick with it til it\'s fixed.
Pls send me battery charger circuit diagram used in bajaj scooter
If you hear the relay clicking, the controller is fine.
Either the charger isn't fully charging the batteries, or one of the
batteries won't hold a charge and needs replacing. Check the voltage
immediately after a charge, and after it stops working.
A pair of fully-charged batteries will read 26 volts or so. Even after 20 minutes of riding the voltage is still 24 volts. The
controller contains a low-voltage-cutoff circuit - if the battery
voltage falls too low (20 volts?) the motor will stop to avoid damage
to it.
I got a non-working e100 from the junk, it had these problems:
- no battery charger - I used a cheap 12V charger from Canadian Tire,
bared the wire between the two batteries, and charged the two batteries
individually. I see a new one can be bought online for $20.
- one of the two batteries would not charge and only showed 10 volts. Replaced it with a 12V5AH for CAD$20
- the scooter still wouldn't work, no relay clicking - connecting the
battery directly to the motor, it ran fine. Checked the control
signals ("throttle" and brake - both microswitches) - both were fine.
So the controller is not working.
- removed and checked the controller relay - it was fine. After figuring out the
circuit I found a transistor Q2 was bad (it is part of the low-voltage
circuit). If anybody wants the circuit diagram, send me a private message.
- now the motor worked, but no belt. Found one locally for $20 - I see
them online now for $6 or so.
My son enjoyed the scooter for an hour
or so, now there is another problem - it won't turn OFF! Must be the
relay contacts stuck, or (unlikely) capacitor C1 shorted. Back to the
soldering iron!
I unsoldered the relay from the circuit board and installed a generic 12-volt relay from my junk box - it's working well now
Just found two more of the scooters by the side of the road with a 'free' sign on them ... batteries on order :)
Hi im hoping you see this its been a while since you have posted about this.My questions is if i have a scooter wich displays battery full on the dadge and it displays the trottle reving, but only when the cable is plugged up. could it still be the battery ? My scooter is a 24 volt sitting scooter. It has been sitting for a year since ive had it.I just got charger for it .

i have a similar problem.I checked the charger output voltage and its fine.Checked the battery voltage and its fine, batteries OK.checked the thermal cutoff and its fine.I bypassed the control circuit and connected the motor directly to the battery and it runs fine, motor OK.There is no output voltage to the motor when selected on.handle bar switch works fine and can hear the relay working fine.tested the brake lever switch and it seems fine.
I suspect that it may be the controller.costs about $20 and easy to change.
The battery won't hold charge longer than 5-10 min.
Can't I just to see if the batteries will charge take the charger Jack and clamp the wires on the bat and plug it in to see if it will charge? Pocket mod razor
