Don't know how to delete files

There are 2 ways to delete music files. You can delete them from the player directly or
using the computer.
To delete music files directly from the Sansa player, follow these steps:
1. In playback mode, press Submenu button.
2. Select the Delete Song item.

To delete music files using the computer, follow these steps:
1. Connect your Sansa to the computer.
2. Select Open device to view files using Windows Explorer on initial connection.
3. Locate the folder where your music files are stored.
4. Highlight and delete the music files or folder.

I believe this should be the manual that your looking for. You may also want to try hooking the MP3 player up to your computer via the usb cable. After doing so, if nothing automatically comes up, you should be able to open the players drive via the my computer option. A lot of times a copy of the manual and the operating software can be found here.

to solve the problem do the following things:

- download the firmware (http://www.sandisk.com/Retail/Default.aspx?CatID=1295)
- run firmware - SW
- FirmwareDownloader shows "Detecting"
- put oft the battery of the e140
- hold down the Power Button
- Connect the e140 to the PC
- FirmwareDownloader shows "Recovery mode ready"
- press start-Button

--> e140 works

There is a Problem with the flash memory on the Mp3 player I would request u too replace it

Well formatting IS deleting all the files on your sandisk. I figured that out the first day i had it. So if you're formatting when all your songs are on there, then that's your problem. If not, then i dont know what to tell you.

If you originally used rhapsody (or began in Rhapsody mode) , you have to use rhapsody to remove the songs. If that doesn't work, you can manually open the music folder by enabling "hidden folders" under "tools" -> "folder options..." -> click the "view" tab -> scroll and check "show hidden files and folders". Then go to My Computer -> Sansa e250 -> "system" -> "music" -> then delete the songs. I don't know the effects of using this method, so use it at your own risk.

Btw, Real Player should do fine as well.

this is so simple sir because i have same problem connect to the computer and right click to your drive and format it
