We have a Toshiba 52HMX95 Projection TV. How do we get rid of this
loud constant buzzing noise? Recently, serviceman was here & said
there was a wire hitting one of the fans that he readjusted. Shortly after he left it started right back up. Our service warranty is up Feb 15, 2009, so of course we want to get this fixed before it runs out.
Are you able to tell us what the problem is & how it should be fixed?
Please let us know,
thx!
The wiring may have fallen back onto the fan or that may never have been the problem at all. A common problem for DLP TVs is the color wheel motor. It will hum and change pitch especially as you power the TV on or off. Its an expensive repair in this TV because Toshiba does not sell it independently from the larger, more expensive light engine assembly. Don't allow this to fall out of warranty! Call the extended warranty company and tell them that the repair was not effective and that you want this resolved promptly before the warranty expires.

I have the same buss and it is directly caused by the fan.It was overheating and i have opened the back to let it cool and it works. It at least doesn't shut off. The fan is a problem with these TV's 52HM85. Bulb was recently replaced! Whats new!!
Recently replaced the lamp and now whenever I turn on the TV, I get this very loud noise. What is causing this?
