When turned on the tv has green lines, thick ones going down the scren and thin ones accross. this ahppens in every channel what can it be? the T.V. is a samsung DLP that i bought three years ago
I had this same problem. I have a Samsung HLR5067W. I was getting this no matter what I was trying to watch, whether it was dvd or vhs or directtv(DVR). I COMPLETELY unplugged the directtv(DVR) box, detached it from the tv and started from scratch. Keep the DVR off for a few minutes, reattach the cables to the tv, plug the DVR back in, and turn it on and let it reset itself. Just hitting reset on the DVR did not work, unplugging it did not work. Only when I totally detached the cables from the TV did it work. I hope this helps someone.

We just replaced the bulb today, it blew out last week, however, when we turn the tv on now, it has 5 thick green lines going from top to bottom and the rest of the screen has small lines. The menus look fine, but the pictures do not even when it is in dvd or vcr or digital mode.
I have the same screen pattern from all inputs except HDMI which works fine.
