I have a cx 4310 camera. My camera would not take pictures even if i replace my batteries. Befor, when the camera was still working, the pictures also come out dark when we take pictures at night even if there was flash. We cannot even see the pictures we are taking in the screen during nightime.
I was getting back photos from an easyshare computer file to transfer to a digital pic frame, now i cannot take any new pics? I've tried changing the batteries several times and the pic frame on this camera is now blank? What can i do, this is not my camera??I was getting back photos from an easyshare computer file to transfer to a digital pic frame, now i cannot take any new pics? With new batteries the green light flashes then turns to red. The camera is inoperative. The problem was solved by cleaning the battery contacts with fine needle nose pliers to reach the contacts and some fine 40 grade wet and dry sandpaper.

I have the same camera, and cleaned the contacts carefully, but I still get the flashing green, then flashing red light, and the camera shuts off. I am using dollar store alkaline batteries that test good. Would brand name batteries be better?I have the same camera, and cleaned the contacts carefully, but I still get the flashing green, then flashing red light, and the camera shuts off. "Almost new"
You state it has not been used for over 10 years!
Time to buy a new one as the replace all of the faulty capacitors will cost more than a new camera.
look for the reset button . This is usually located at the bottom or back side of the camera. use a paper/hair clip to rest it. if still not working, look for a certified kodak tech.
1. Make sure you will install a new or fully charged battery/batteries into your camera. Please use lithium batteries Ni-Mh or rechargeable Batteries (2000 M.Amp or higher).
2. Clean the battery contacts.
a. Remove the battery/batteries and the memory card from your camera, then wipe the battery contacts with a soft, clean cloth.
b. Reinstall the battery/batteries into your camera
3. Turn on your camera without the memory card.

Your fix could be as simple as cleaning the camera's battery contacts,
or it could be something more serious and expensive. First try
removing the batteries and cleaning the camera contacts with a small
metal brush, steel wool, or fine sandpaper. If that doesn't fix the
problem, check the Kodak
Help Center by clicking on the link below. It uses a simple Q&A
format to diagnose problems and propose solutions.
Make sure you have either a fully charged batteries or a new batteries. Could be some internal problems such as loose connections. Camera sounds like it needs repair. Repair for this camera, due to age may be beyond what you would want to spend.
The Kodak CX4310 is the same as the CX4300 but the 4310 is a Wal-Mart special color.
The camera feature that controls color balance is called "white balance" and on the 4310, it is totally automatic. Which means you have no control.
If your color is not correct, return the camera.
There are not many cameras that use a dock to recharge the camera batteries and connect to the computer. So you will not have many choices if you are looking for a different camera.
One camera (without a dock) you should look at, is the Olympus Stylus 300. It is a better choice than the Kodak. It uses rechargeable batteries and the charger is included.
