Here is how you wax your paddleboard:

    1. First, you will need to scrape the old wax off of your board. To do this, you will need to soften the wax by leaving it in the sun for approximately 30 minutes. Take your surf wax comb or plastic paint scraper and work your way from one end to the other. Remove the wax and use surfboard cleaner to clean off the remaining wax.
    2. Next, you will need to apply your first coat to the bottom of your board lengthwise. Be sure to apply wax from rail to rail, rubbing the wax until bumps begin forming.
    3. Add a top coat to the base coat the same way you applied the base coat, except with only a little pressure since it is a much softer wax.
    4. Use your wax comb and create crosshatching strokes in case the the wax becomes smooth again.

Most paddle boards are made with traction pads attached to the top of the board, these should never be waxed. Boards that do not have the traction pads should be lightly covered with a base wax.

How To Re-Wax a Wood Deck for a Trotter Treadmill

Following are instructions on how to re-wax a wood deck for a Trotter treadmill and a list of materials needed for this procedure

Materials Needed for Re-Wax

  • 1 lb. of Trotter deck wax
  • Clothes iron (never to be used on clothing again)
  • Belt sander with 120 grit sanding belt
  • Vibrating sander with 250 and 400 grit paper
Pre-Existing condition: If your wood Trotter treadmill deck is worn down through the first ply, it cannot be re-waxed.
  1. Using a belt sander and 120-grit belt, gently sand in the same direction as the grain the glazed layer off the top of the deck until you have reached porous wood. If, while sanding, the first layer of ply has been sanded off, the deck can no longer be re-waxed
  2. Using a vibrating sander with 250-grit paper, sand the entire top surface of the deck until it is smooth and soft.
  3. After sanding with the 250-grit paper, continue sanding with 400-grit paper until completely smooth.
  4. Heat the clothes iron to its maximum temperature. Put a handful of Trotter deck wax on the center surface of the deck and place the preheated iron on top of it until the wax melts.
  5. Work the wax into the deck surface by pushing the melted wax across the deck with the iron. Add more wax as needed until the entire top surface of the deck is impregnated with wax.
  6. Apply just enough wax until the wood is saturated with wax.
Do NOT leave wax pooling on the surface of the deck.

Maytag Neptune Front Load Washers Wax Motor Replacement

The wax motor needs to be replaced and the control board requires repair or replacement should your Maytag Neptune Front Load Washer fails to advance to the high speed spin cycle and the "door locked" light is not turned on. This is a common issue that led the filing of a class suit against Maytag Corporation in 2004. Disconnect power to the machine prior to servicing to avoid the risk of electric shock that can lead to physical injury, disability, and even death.

Access to the wax motor for replacement requires the removal of the front panel and the top cover. Once the two are removed, disconnect the wires from wax motor terminals then pry the spring clip off and take the wax motor out. Take note of the wax motor position before removing it from the door latch assembly to make sure you fit the new wax motor properly later on. One simple and effective way to do it is by taking a picture of the door latch assembly prior to removal of any component.

Fit in the new wax motor and make sure the shaft is properly seated into the slot provided on the latch axle and secure it firmly with the spring clip provided. Reinstall the top cover and the front panel back into position once the wax motor is properly installed.

How do you recommend getting candle wax out of carpet? It's been there awhile : Cutting it out isn't an option.

Put a piece of clean fabric over the wax and use a warm iron on top of the fabric to melt the wax, rub and repeat if necessary

What does the paddle have an angle?

The elbow in a paddle provides a more powerful, effective stroke. When you're paddling, the elbow causes the paddle blade to align straight up and down as it comes alongside the paddleboard.

What number wax ring do I need?

Most wax rings are standard size. You should pull your toilet off again and scrape off all the old wax. If your toilet flange is below floor level, you may have to use two wax rings, one on top of the other. You can buy rings of different thicknesses, but standard rings should work. When you've placed the rings, place the toilet back on the flange bolts and push down HARD wiggling side to side. When you've got it down as far as you can go, sit on the bowl and wiggle side to side. Repeat this process until the toilet is sitting flush with the floor. NO PENNIES!

Tiled bathroom floor. Went to install toilet

hi, the tile is supposed to go under the toilet flange (the thing you put the wax ring on), very common "oops", can be rectified by placing another wax ring right on top of the first on. best to make the first one a "horn type" wax ring, then put the plain one (no horn) on top of first and try to smoosh it on just enough to stay in place so when you install toilet it doesn't move,.....cheers!

What is the proper way to stack wax rings? I hear

You place the plastic sleeve down toward the drain. If that does not seal due to the floor being higher than the drain mount simply add another wax ring minus the plastic sleeve. You can buy wax rings that do not have the plastic sleeve. In lots of cases you have to use 2 wax rings to get a good seal. Make sure you securely tighten the toilet down.

Toilet - replacing a wax seal

No when you put the toilet on a new wax ring you need to push the toilet down to the floor to make a good seal. You will be fine just put some waight on top of toilet to push down wax.

good Luck
