Do I have to buy new bikes to get higher range of gears?

Try putting in higher gear. Compression may be to strong for low gear push.

dont go that much fast for first1000kms...affects engine life...

Hills are not meant to be climbed at a fast pace. The lower gears make it easier for you to convert your pedal movement to tire rotation so this is why you seem to be not going anywhere. Try a higher gear so that easier pedals make less tire movement allowing you to climb hills with ease. Practise on flat ground till you get used to the gearing then always remember to have the right gear selected before you encounter the hill or your climb will be just as tough.

Your gears work like this: The bigger the chain ring on the front where your pedals attach makes for faster speed and is accompanied by harder pedalling. The bigger the chain ring on the back where it is attached to the wheel makes for easier pedalling and less speed. Remember to never use the opposite rings. Eg. Do not use the largering on front with the large ring on back. You will over stress your chain and could break.

Try this, leave the front chain on the middle ring and only use the rear drailleur and get use to the range this set of rings has before you change what front ring you are using.

these can be adjusted, but the first thing to do is to change the entire gear cable.
spraying the whole thing with wd40 or simillar may help, but the lining of the outer cable has almost certainly worn and is causing the problem you are having.

this is very common. bike makers tend to use relatively cheap cables, and they can wear and cause problems quite easily.
oil the new cable before you fit it and you should not have any more problems.

This depends on the mileage and condition of the bike. If the bike is in showroom condition you can expect to pay the higher price. i had this problem with my bike....buy Seafoam form Autozone pour 1/3 can per two gal gas ride for about 15 miles.

common on high mileage bikes, chain tend to stretch over years and get very sloppy. you might also want to check the gear making sure is not worn, worn gear will chew your new chain up quickly. check your timing belt also, it good idea to also replace.

for cruising get your bike up to +- 4500 / 5500 rpm and it wil ride super easy
