A slow computer could be caused by a number of things - 1. Insufficient RAM (memory) - if your computer has less than 512Mb of RAM then increase it to at least 1Gb of RAM. 2. Registry problems - clean and repair the registry, it will contain unused registry keys. Use programs such as Registry Mechanic, Microsoft RegClean etc. 3. Uninstall/remove unused programs, this will also free up hard disk space. 4. Not enough hard disk space - swap file space may need to be increased if Windows hasn't been configured to manage it. 5. Install latest Windows updates. 6. Update virus definition files and scan computer for viruses, Trojans, malware etc. 7. Clear the Internet cache for faster browsing. 8. Hard disk maintenance is required at least once a month to keep it functioning efficiently. Run the following programs - Disk Cleanup - removes temporary files that are no longer used and to recovers hard disk space. Disk Defragmenter to make fragmented files into contiguous files and therefore the hard disk access is faster.

Runs very slow

Primary respones to fix your slow netbook:
1. Clean all Temporary Internet Files
2. Clean the registry.
3. Remove malware.
4. Transfer all unnecessay downloads to an external device.
External hard drives are cheap....available for less than $100.
The more files you have on the netbook, the slower it runs.

My netbook is generally running very slow, what can I do to improve speed

Hi
To speedup your netbook follow these steps;
1. Remove if any apps in the 'startup' (like instant messaging, dictionary, world clock openoffice etc (just remove it from the startup folder) Make sure programs like these are not starting up when you boot up else your netbook will feel slow.
2. Be sure that you are running your spyware and virus scanners are working, updated, and have fully scanned your system. These malicious pieces of software can slow down a fast system. They will wreck the speed on your netbook if you aren't careful.
3. One upgrade that you can do to your system that is cheap and easy to do on your own is to add RAM. It's best to maximize your netbook's RAM for best performance.
4. Uninstall unwanted or heavy load softwares.
5. Don't have open programs that you aren't using minimized. If you aren't going to use a program, shut it off. Try to only have a few programs open at once.
6. Use cloud based applications. These are software that you can use that are being processed on a server versus your machine. This is a better way to multitask on your netbook.
7. Consider adding Linux or buying a Linux netbook versus a Windows netbook. Typically the Linux netbooks do run much faster as they are designed to take up less resources making your netbook run much faster.
8. Delete temp files.
9. Running heavy loaded softwares will make the battery hot, that way the battery life is shortened which causes a slow running netbook.
Hope this helps.

Hp 210-1000 notebook is slow! 2.4 base score in performance and only 2gb free of 12gh on drive d> what to do?

From what I can tell, an HP 210-1000 is a netbook. It is built for portability and not performance so it is not made to run fast.
If you would like your computer to run faster, you have several options.
The first is to upgrade the parts in your machine. The easiest two things to upgrade with the greatest payoff are the RAM and the hard drive. You can go to your local computer shop and pick these up, but you'll need someone who knows computers to install them for you.
The second is try and optimize your Windows for faster run speeds. This means turning off a lot of the nice visual effects that come with Windows 7/Vista so that your computer doesn't have to work as hard to go fast.
The last is just to get a new computer. If speed is a main concern of yours, then you should look into getting a machine that will be able to run quickly. A netbook or laptop is made for travelling and not for power.

Hp mini 210 too slow

Well, the issue can be caused by many many reasons such as outdated hardware, overload startup programs, corrupt registry issues, too many junks, virus attack, poor security software taking too much system resources, remnants of uninstalled applications etc. The fact is, you should keep some system maintenance job regularly. If you don't want to do these manually, try http://www.speeduphp.com/speed-up-slow-hp-mini.html to give a free & full scan of your slow HP PC to find & fix all possible issues. Best regards!

Too slow

This machine by its design very slow. If you look at the specs, it has a Via 8505 processor clocked in at 300 Mhz. That is 3 1/2 times slower than the other netbooks. Italso has only 128 Mb of main memory, so the processor can only store so much data as it works.

I have hp mini netbook and want to connect with my hp laserjet 3050 printer. i coulnt`connect tried to download software but wanted `hpzpp4wm.dll file

Guessing that your netbook is running Windows XP as most do, you'll want to download the XP drivers for your printer and install them. Then try hooking it up to one of your netbooks usb ports.

My hp mini 1000 netbook is very slow.

There are a number of reasons that may cause your HP Mini running slow, but generally two factors: outdated hardware or poor system maintenance. For hardware part: you can get more RAM, higher CPU etc. For system part: there might be a lot of junk files, caches, errors etc out there, about 80% slow HP issues are caused by this reason, in this case you can rely on http://www.speeduphp.com/speed-up-slow-hp-mini.html to free detect and fix related issues.
