My android tablet pc will not stay connected to wifi for more than a few seconds. I have changed the router channel, rebooted the tablet, turned the router off, and even downloaded wifi apps. None of this helps. the router supports 2 laptops, a desktop, an ipad, and printer without issues. Any other suggestions?

Software Issue An intermittent connection could be caused by a software bug or misconfiguration on the tablet itself. Try disconnecting and reconnecting to your network, as this can help to improve signal strength. You should also look to update your device's software if possible, as major tablet manufacturers often release new firmware with the intention of fixing bugs and improving performance. If this does not work, consider backing up your device and resetting it to factory defaults.

SOURCE: setting up a laptop to use its tablet pc functions

XP Pro should run fine on it - I would assume that is what it came with. You may need to download additional drivers from Toshiba. I would check with Toshiba about the pen as well, but without it should still function as a regular laptop.

SOURCE: issues with my Ipad wifi, IPAD wifi not working

According to Apple, the iPad might not automatically rejoin known WiFi networks using third-party routers that are dual-band capable (802.11 b/g and 802.11 n) when each band’s network uses the same name or use different security settings.
Apple’s recommendation? Try creating separate network names for each separate band’s network (ie: add a G to the end of the name of the 802.11 b/g band) and making sure both bands’ networks use the same security settings.

SOURCE: Cannot access Appslib app library

I couldn't either! So, I uninstalled the appslib and reinstalled it and it works great now! You have to reset everything and you will lose apps I guess if you have any, I had none so this didn't affect me. If you go to Coby's website and under FAQ's it explains how to uninstall and install. Good luck!

SOURCE: Ii have the Coby 7005

Hi, I am Steve, lets help solve your issue.
I am afraid the information you have been given is completely wrong. There is not such thing as plug and play in the android world. Android was initially developed for use on embedded devices and as such had no need to recognise external devices automatically. Version 2.1 (as installed on your device) is now quite old and cannot support it. Even the new version (froyo -2.2) does not support it.

Your device does come with a built in wireless adaptor, so you don't need a USB wireless adaptor.

My rca tablet usually works with my internet. Now today different story. My internet is fully operating with all my other devices but won't hold signal with my tablet why?

OK, this is a common issue with Android, even with the Nexus line.
Try to connect again, if it does, check for how long it holds. Usually you can see if it drops by just rolling down from the top.
If there is still issues with it, tap the Airplane mode and leave it on for some 10 seconds, tap it again to turn it off, test the wifi connection again.
Also, you can forget the network, reboot the device and search for wifi. (This means that you have to type the network's password again, as if it was for the first time).
If nothing works, then you will have to factory reset your device. But unfortunately this is a common issue in Android.

Why does my wifi disconnects when i turn off my tablet?

You probably have the setting for WiFi set up to where it shuts off while in sleep mode. You can probably fix it by going to your settings and changing the WiFi setting to always on. Not sure which setting its under but just select and check out each setting category until you see something that relates to changing wifi setting. I could be more detailed but would have to go there to be sure which exact setting.

I have a 7 inch RCA tablet that will not connect to my WiFi the internet connect says it is connected but I don't have any bars so it will not allow me to go anywhere.

I've known some tablets not connect to the standard 2.4G wifi but are quite happy on the newer 5G wifi. don't know why.
I've also known some tablets only connect to WEP security or none.
see if you can change the security settings in your router.

Cannot log in to tesco broadband from my tabletsamsung 2/3

open settings . turn off wifi then turn it back on after 30 seconds.
go back to settings open the wifi settings and pic your router
be sure you have the right wep key. also down load wifi analyzer
and open . check to see if your router is on channel with too many other routers close by. this will cause you to have a spotty connection or none at all.
I had 5 other routers on the same channel from the same provider and actually the same router brand. move your channel to a blank spot. why galaxy products are so sensitive i do not know as laptops and pc's can lock on to a signal and galaxy products seem to continuously search for a new connection regardless of weather
it has one.

What to do when tablet drops neflix and says unfortunately neflix has stopped?

This could happen for various reason, but e are going to worl only with 2 of them.
One of the reason that Netflix could crash is because of poor data or no wifi.
The cache could be corrupt, s is a matter of cleaning cache by going to:
a) settings
b) apps
c) scroll down to Netflix and tap it.
d) search for cache and tap clear.

Now you can either start Netflix or reboot your tablet first (just to be on the safe side), and then launch Netflix.
Good luck.
